I am not opposed to an individual choosing to wear or not wear a mask (there are legitimate arguments and concerns on both sides of the issue) or a business choosing to require or not require them. I am opposed to overreaching “mandates” from unelected bureaucrats who think they should dictate to people and businesses how they live and operate.
This is a democracy not a dictatorship. The government answers to you, not the other way around. As such, in these unprecedented times of government abuse of power, I encourage you to make the decisions you feel are appropriate for you and your family.
Freedom is not free. Stand up for your freedom and liberty that so many fought and died for. Do not dishonor them by living in fear of toothless lions in Harrisburg.

Taste of Sicily is going to fight their case in court, and I think the Pennsylvania health commissioner’s unsuccessful attempt to shut down the Carlisle Auto Show a couple of weeks ago may bode well for them. In that case, a state judge basically laughed the PA lawyers out of her courtroom. She pointed out that their claims about the health risks of large crowds of people without face masks were ludicrous in light of all the photo and video evidence showing the governor marching with hordes of people at a BLM protest with no mask on.

In case you don’t know the difference; A REPUBLIC is representative government ruled by law (The Constitution). A DEMOCRACY is direct government ruled by the majority (mob rule). A REPUBLIC recognizes the inalienable rights of INDIVIDUALS while DEMOCRACIES are only concerned with group wants or needs.

I wear an effective mask (not when driving alone or walking outside), wear a seatbelt, get vaccinated. Nobody has to force me to do these things. I’m not the least concerned about the consequences others might face choosing to do otherwise.

Seems like Dems are using the courts at every opportunity to get their way, while we just sit on our haunches and hope. Every conservative needs to (legally and non violently of course) push back against what is going on in our country and at every opportunity. Even if it is just telling businesses to take politics out of their business, and end biased policy based on whims of leftist protestors.

because I know we have several covids at my hospital, on a medical floor...but frankly among my friends, family co workers, etc I just don't see covid....its like we're living in a different world...
Enough of this mask controversy.
It has been proven mathematically by NN Taleb that masks, regardless of their efficiency, reduce to a significant degree the probability of contracting Covid. On the other hand, there is also a degree of physical fitness required before you wear a respirator.
In industry, everywhere I have been, where the potential of wearing a respirator exists, I’ve been required to pass a few fit tests, prior to gaining access.
Governments that demand all wear masks need to be voted out. Not all can, or want to, wear a mask.
If you are overweight, diabetic, elderly, and or have high blood pressure...be responsible. You have to live, or not, with the consequences. Stay home.
If you are young and healthy and choose not to wear a mask, stay away from the category of people that have co morbidity factors. Otherwise, party on Garth!
