Independence Day Primer.
In case you don’t know the difference; A REPUBLIC is representative government ruled by law (The Constitution). A DEMOCRACY is direct government ruled by the majority (mob rule). A REPUBLIC recognizes the inalienable rights of INDIVIDUALS while DEMOCRACIES are only concerned with group wants or needs.
A ‘Democracy’ is the next best thing TO a Dictatorship!
Yes, I know. But as we near Independence Day, people NEED to understand the difference. Especially our elected officials who play fast and lose with their words!
