And there is hope for your future declares Hashem: Your children shall return to their country. Jeremiah 31:13 (The Israel Bible)
The latest forecast from Jerusalem says that Israel is expecting 90,000 Jews from the diaspora to emigrate to Israel by the end of 2021. The process of Jewish people worldwide naturalizing in Israel is called Aliyah. Aliyah Integration Minister Pnina Tamano-Shata said on Wednesday that the latest estimates reveal that 90,000 Jews worldwide (Olim) will move to Israel from around the world in the next 18 months reports the JPost.
Meanwhile, Nefesh b Nefesh, a non-profit organization that facilitates the Aliyah process, reported that more American Jews applied to immigrate to Israel or inquired about it in May than in any single month over the last two decades.
The organization experienced nearly double the amount of Aliyah applications in May 2020 than in the same month last year. More than 800 households applied to make Aliyah online, compared to just 424 in May 2019.
Biblical perspective
The current Aliya surge seems to be what the prophet Jeremiah spoke about in chapter 31 passage 13:
And there is hope for your future declares Hashem: Your children shall return to their country. (Jeremiah 31:13)
The Israel Bible elaborates on this exerpt saying: In this moving passage, God speaks directly to the matriarch Rachel, who is known in Jewish tradition as having a special role in the redemption of her children, the Jewish people, and their return to Israel. According to Jewish tradition, when her father Laban gave her sister Leah to Yaakov in marriage in her stead, Rachel revealed to Leah a secret sign she had made with Yaakov in order to spare Leah from embarrassment. Because of Rachels unparalleled selflessness and love for her sister, it is

Truth from his lips prevailed with double sway, and fools, who came to scoff, remained to pray."
Plus there were “wars and rumors of wars” (which doesnt mean much of anything) and strange “celestial events” in the 90s. Not to mention we were coming up on the magical year 2000.
But you arent supposed to point any of this out for some reason.
How are these folks absorbed into the Israel economy? Jobs available?
Big difference between the hucksters that go out on a limb with their predictions and what is very clear across the whole bible, that Israel would be banished from the land to all countries, Jerusalem destroyed, sacrifices ended... then after a time period (which turned out to be almost 2000 years), the exiled people would return and Israel would be reborn. The bible is very clear about this, as it says it over and over and over again.
“There has been a modest in immigration over this decade (30K in 2018) but up to 2/3rds of recent migrants are not Jewish or at least not recognized as such by Israel.”
Actually, they are recognized as “Jewish for Aliyah” by Israel — so, 1 grandparent, either side. Basically, it’s people who may not be maternally Jewish (and thus Jewish under Jewish law), but face discrimination for being ethnically Jewish.
Converts are, of course, also accepted.
“How are these folks absorbed into the Israel economy? Jobs available?”
With great difficulty.
The young people are pretty easy. They go to school, go to the IDF (where they generally have an Orthodox conversion, if not maternally Jewish), then college/trade and instant productive citizen.
Older people have been a serious problem, and, generally speaking, they are the most in need of aliyah.
I suppose some have wealth. Anyway, I’m glad to see this.
Too bad... we need more of them here in the US.
They’re Jewish like Teddy Kennedy was Catholic and Al Sharpton’s a Reverend. They all clothe themselves in virtue but fear and hate dwell in their hearts.
Only now do we have the technology through DNA matching to determine where they went. Let Israel open its border to these 'lost tribes' and let the testing begin.
From 2018...
...Jewish Agency Chairman Natan Sharansky who oversees the campaign to bring Jews back home calls the return to Israel the Gathering of the Exiles a movement that saw 27,000 new Jewish immigrants move to Israel last year with more than 3,600 of them coming from the United States alone....

DNA cant determine Jewishness. Too many converts and intermarriages.
Just think of the twins Esau and Jacob. Very similar DNA but only one became what we now call Jewish.
Ten lost tribes?
Luke 2:36 - Anna, a prophetess, .. , of the tribe of Asher.
Romans 11:1 (Paul) For I also am an Israelite, . . of the tribe of Benjamin.
Jesus was of the tribe of Judah.
John the Baptist’s father Zacharias was a priest of the tribe of Levi.
That is four tribes. There are no ten lost tribes.
Yes on all counts. Signs. I know that past generations have been convinced the end is near but it really does feel like it can’t be much longer.
When the Body of Christ is complete.
Fools will always perish, since they can’t understand.
LOL!
Ok.
Amen Bro!
Where are the people of the other tribes?
I agree DNA can’t determine Jewishness, but it can determine heritage or bloodline. I’m no expert in the field, and haven’t a clue where to begin, but where there is a will, a way can be found, or God will provide one, such as the technology which exist today.
