DNA cant determine Jewishness. Too many converts and intermarriages.
Just think of the twins Esau and Jacob. Very similar DNA but only one became what we now call Jewish.
I agree DNA can’t determine Jewishness, but it can determine heritage or bloodline. I’m no expert in the field, and haven’t a clue where to begin, but where there is a will, a way can be found, or God will provide one, such as the technology which exist today.
Well, the Hasmonean Jewish dynasty conquered Edom in 100 BC and forcibly converted the Edomites/Idumeans to the Hebraic religion. Herod was the son of one such convert.
And the Edomite/Idumean nation perished in the Jewish-Roman wars of 66 AD to 132 AD -- by the end of which the Edomites had been completely absorbed into the Jewish identity
Could that be why Jesus said that salvation “would come from the Jews “, which would mean that the gentles would welcome in?
