Since it was close to treason they maybe they need something close to a hanging. Just give them a six inch drop rather than a six foot drop. Cut them down after 30 seconds rather than 30 minutes.

The only reason it isn’t treason is that it isn’t in consort with an enemy country.
What was done is in fact sedition. It is not criminbal sedition, only becuase it was done without advocating or using violence. But is sedition, bigtime.
Non-violent sedition. Shadow government, do all possible to topple and destabilize the elected government.
Just because it isn’t a crime, doesn’t mean it is acceptable.

And it’s a stretch. You’d have to say they were using the force of the US gov’t against it’s own citizens illegally to over throw the duly elected president.

It’s going to be interesting when we have to discuss the definition of “treason”.
It’s like pornography — I know it when I see it.
But the Constitution has some specific language. I’m not sure if that precludes any broader use of the term.
And, while we’re at it, we might want to explore a precise definition for “natural born citizen” and why the most restrictive meaning of that term is the best meaning of that term. You’re less likely to have your president commit treason if he is an NBC.
