Fox News host Jesse Watters said sources are telling him Attorney General William Barr has received "smoking gun" documents that will cast aspersions on the Russia investigation.
In his opening monologue on Watters' World, which was taped Friday but aired Saturday evening, the host said these records could reveal that former President Barack Obama had a significant role in the investigation into the Trump 2016 campaign's ties to Russia, which President Trump and his allies have deemed a "witch hunt."
"Sources are telling Watters' World that Attorney General Bill Barr was just given a trove of smoking gun documents that could point directly at former President Barack Obama, revealing his powerful connection to 'Spygate' and the Russia hoax," he said.
Watters appeared to be referring to the "satchel" of documents Fox News chief White House correspondent Ed Henry reported that acting Director of National Intelligence Richard Grenell delivered to the Justice Department last week, following the release of House Intelligence Committee witness transcripts showing Obama administration officials admitting they had no direct evidence of Trump-Russia collusion.

This may end up being just like Watergate, where the real crime is not the weaponization of the government against the citizens and specifically against one citizen, with no thought at all about using every aspect of law and government to frame and jail anyone who got in the way, but a cover-up beyond all previous cover-ups. A scorched earth operation affecting the entire country via the push for mail-in voting domestically and contact tracing/forced immunization, which cuts across party lines, with a few sides of shortages, a crippled medical system and unemployment.
We know MSM ratings/influence is falling. NBC lost two high-ranking executives. China is being cut off from US telecomm influence. Individual Chinese operatives are being denied cover as *journos*. International organizations (WHO)and supposedly non-political US agencies (CDC)are losing monetary support. People are rebelling against the lockdown and economic devastation. They want someone to blame and we are about to see many such.
The point is coming where zer0 will be called out by his own side. We’ve seen them turn on their own before. This entire attempt to subvert America isn’t just affecting conservatives, Trump or any one race, no matter how it’s being spun. People know this. They can feel it.
What if it all fails dramatically and zer0 is seen as the reason? What happens to prog failures when it affects the lives, lifestyle and power of the so-called Elites?
The very people who support zer0 and the prog machine are the most affected by all this. I think it will get very ugly and be very entertaining, while, for a while, it will become very scary for everyone.

I think Flynn earned the right to come back, but I cannot imagine he would want to come back. This has been a pretty traumatic 3 years. I also think he has very good grounds to sue those who set him up as it is unlikely DOJ will represent them in court.
Make 170k a year and not sue because you would have conflicts (access to classified info) or stay out of the rat infested swamp where many are out to get you and recoup the millions you lost defending your self.
You might be right and you make a compelling argument for an angle I had not considered.
My WAG on this is a bit different - I think Obama and Rice were unmasking people in an unprecedented fashion and that was the scandal they feared would be revealed.
There is evidence they unmasked journalists, the Trump campaign, and likely many others as a regular practice. When I said “they”, this included DNC contractors for FBI/CIA and others. It was unprecedented in our history and it was clearly done in violation of civil rights.
This would be the scandal that would truly taint the Obama administration. They assumed Clinton would win so they had nothing to worry about until she laid an egg. They panicked. Flynn had an idea I think of what was happening, but likely did not know the full scope of it and he had no reason to know (DIA). When Trump said they wiretapped him it created more panic because he was right. Rogers told him.
Stop and think about this..... they scrambled to create the FISA warrants when it appeared Clinton might lose to retroactively cover what they had already done - wiretaps. They had to do this to create a “legal” cover for what they already did. Because the DNC contractors had access to the NSA database this illegal surveillance was done against Trump, his associates, and his campaign!
All of us have been focused on the dossier and the Russian collusion allegations, but this was only done to provide an excuse or cover for the real sin. The dossier and FISA’s were so amateurish and sloppy because they rushed them. It was all done in a rush based on the timeline we know while normal investigations are deliberate and often well established with the usual steps prior to going to the FISA court.
I don’t know if I am correct it is an educated guess reading between the lines. Nunes is on with Maria this morning and he is still very focused on the dossier, but what if that is NOT the worst scandal? What if the dossier was not initially intended to sabotage Trump, but it was to cover other sins? The fact that it all morphed into the collusion delusion and a Special Counsel was a bonus, but now everyone is looking at this scratching their head about how amateurish it all looks.
Grenell is fearless. He is now in a position to ask for all of this and it will be given to him right away. He is not Coates. The White House is not dumb. What if this is what Grenell took to Barr?
This unmasking was illegal. Period. The only thing that might provide some modicum of legal cover would be the FISA’s, but we know those were fraudulent and frankly in hindsight amateurish. However, they had to get a FISA to try and cover what they did. 2 jumps. Papadopoulos talks to an aide to Flynn and they can now listen to whoever he talks to (Flynn and others).

What if the collusion delusion and the whole FISA process that used the ridiculous dossier was to cover up the massive spying scandal that occurred?
If, and I say if, the Obama administration was using the NSA database to spy on their opponents in an unprecedented fashion to include “contractors” hired by both the DNC and intel agencies it would be very scandalous.
FISA warrants are retroactive. Trump said “they wiretapped me.” What if the real intent of all of this was to try and cover up the spying at the start and it later morphed into the collusion delusion?
I doubt the big fish would go to jail, but what a stain this would be! Flynn, like Grenell is now, would be in a position to know all of this and blow the whistle.
I think Trump knows this. He has started tweeting some pretty strong stuff in the last week linking this to Obama saying there is much more to come out. Others who would know are saying this.....
The Flynn thing is bad enough on its own merits, but how much worse would all of this be if the unmasking and wiretapping, absent any warrants, were being done in a wholesale fashion by our own contractors?
What if they used our 5-eye partners to do it? Why would the head of British intel resign after Trump was elected? The Steele dossier? Nope. The Brits told us not to trust Steele so he had nothing to fear from that. What if they were being used to spy on our own people and sharing it with the NSA through a back-door that was then accessed by Fusion GPS, Crowdstrike, and others?
Just a WAG on my part for now, but it does seem to be the best explanation for the desperation to get Flynn/Trump. There is much more afoot in this thing than the Steele dossier and the collusion delusion, which in hindsight appears terribly amateurish and ridiculous on its face now.
Trump does know timing.
What I noticed is that now he saying obama’s name and treason. He has broken that barrier and I don’t think he would do that if he didn’t have the goods on obama and his crew.
Maybe Trump is preparing for a poop storm to hit all the players at once. Ala, The Godfather 2.

What if the biggest scandal is not the Russian collusion delusion. What if the spying extended far beyond Trump and his associates?
Sheryl Atkinson has a pending civil suit that might become very interesting in the next few weeks. She claims the Obama administration spied on her and it appears they did. What if she was only one out of hundreds of “opponents” this happened to?
Flynn’s attorney, Sidney Powell, has said that the IC went after Flynn because Flynn wanted to audit them. She has made claims about billions of dollars being used off the books for various programs.
Does this sound vaguely similar to the Clinton Foundation? Or for those who have been around longer, the BCCI scandal?
This may not just be about illegal surveillance.
