And it’s difficult to find eggs around here. All of a sudden everybody’s discovered home cooking.
What a shame. A damn shame.
P.J. Huffstutter ?
To what depths will Fake News descend to find their willing mouthpieces ?
I wondered how hard it would be to switch from supplying restaurants to supplying more to groceries. Obviously there would need to be less bulk packaging. Apparently transportation is an issue. I guess milk serves as a good example.
Meanwhile, the milk shelves at the local Safeway are sometimes completely empty (except for the hideous soy-milk, almond-milk pretenders). Existing supply chains really are not built for this crisis.
Personally, I dont drink the stuff but I guess thats what happens when you close the all schools and restaurants.
Cant they still make powdered milk? The farmers could sell to the companies that make powdered milk to be sold to feds for distribution to food banks
Now I feel good that I picked up a gallon of milk yesterday and another one today. Means less trips to the store in the next two weeks.
Did they forget the cheese?
They specifically say, “don’t forget the cheese”
As long as the diet root beer delivery chain isn’t broken!!
Maybe a ploy here to grab some govt $$$.
Queue the violins.
They can deliver all their production to my house. Our son will drink it all.
HUFFSTUTTER??? REALLY?
Just think of all that CHEESE they could have made!..................Oh, the humanity!..........................
Agricultural disruptions are being widely felt, including livestock sales, the feed and grain necessary to sustain cattle, horses and smaller livestock. I’m truly sorry for the illness and death from the virus, but the country cannot go on like this for too much longer.
I froze a gallon...after using a little bit to leave expansion room.
Unbelievable. Meanwhile, Here in Californy, we are limited to buying two gallons at a time.
I have had no trouble with milk and eggs.
Things that surprise me that are gone; bread, cookie, biscuit, crescent roll dough. Ramen noodles (Not really but...), Chef Boyardee. The soup sections are filled again. Pasta is still hard to find. Paper towels and TP are hit and miss. The good stuff is gone, the cheap stuff is easy to get again.
Coca Cola/Pepsi and all snacks are at normal inventory. I think theyre used to this because of seasonal/peak demand with 3 day weekends and holiday parties. Their business can resupply quickly if they can obtain raw ingredients. Bread/rolls have never really stopped for more than a day or so.
thx fearpers....now we’ll have no milk...perhaps a million people dying of dehydration which is DEADLY to the vulnerable groups, will wake you up , but probably not...
