Trump should either:
1) Pull a Pelosi and say "Try Again" by flat out vetoing current $2,100,000,000,000 pork filled bill.
.. . or . .
2) use Line item veto of the $1,000,000,000,000 in pork. The way I see it 7 new Judges on SCOTUS might see it different than this decision 22 years ago. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clinton_v._City_of_New_York

The Constitution does not allow for a line item veto.
Unfortunately, there is no line item veto. He must either sign or veto any bill in its entirety.
Dear goodness I think many of us here are pulling our hair out. I thought that the Senate bill did not have the ballot harvesting in it. That is the bill that I thought Pelosi is voting on today. How is it that some of us here still believe the ballot harvesting is in that bill? Without causing utter confusion again can somebody please verify with validity the current bill of the Senate either does or does not have this in it? Thank you
I thought Nancy’s post vacation wish list wasn’t in the Senate bill that is being sent to the House.

It passed the Senate 96-0. A veto does nothing but delay.
1) Works for me.
2) If line item was an actual thing, there’s alot that SHOULD be crossed out but nope. It would be awesome if the SCOTUS had a different take on it today. Maybe in his 2nd or 3rd term? :-)

Of course it will take years to get to SCOTUS, but like I said, Perhaps Justice Thomas and the new Majority would vote favorably.
He should still go through the bill and cross out in red ink every corrupt and unneeded thing in it. Veto it at a press conference. Then say, “I can’t sign any bill with these ridiculous, wasteful, pork-barrel spending, unrelated power grabs in it.”
Then post a copy of the bill with his corrections on the web.
The ballot harvesting was removed.
