President Trump and his aides wasted little time opening a campaign of retribution against those he blames for his impeachment, firing on Friday two of the most prominent witnesses in the inquiry against him barely 48 hours after the Senate acquitted the president.
Emboldened by his victory and determined to strike back, Mr. Trump fired Gordon D. Sondland, the ambassador to the European Union, within hours of the White House dismissing Lt. Col. Alexander S. Vindman, a decorated Iraq war veteran who was a Ukraine expert on the National Security Council. Both officials testified to a House committee about the presidents efforts to pressure Ukraine to help him against his domestic political rivals.
I was advised today that the president intends to recall me effective immediately as United States Ambassador to the European Union, Mr. Sondland said in a statement just hours after Colonel Vindmans dismissal. He expressed gratitude to Mr. Trump for having given me the opportunity to serve.

Notice how the Slime uses words to convey its slant. “Retribution, “emboldened by his victory,” “decorated;” all those and more are used in a way to place guilt on Trump. This is not journalism, it is opinion. But that is not new—they think we’re stupid.

This is being played off by the media as if he's enraged.
You don't have to be enraged to let bad people go.

They made it clear that as employees of the federal government who are charged to work for the elected administration that they obviously do not agree with the goals of the administration. At a different time in history, these people would have resigned on principle, respecting the voters and America’s way of governing itself. No more. They are in reality are arrogant, unprincipled, corrupt and undermining the integrity of our government institutions.
