The public on Tuesday will get its first look at Army Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman in action.
And if he follows his closed-door testimony, he will knock his commander in chief while retelling his version of potentially damning conversations with a Trump ambassador.
Im the director for Ukraine, Col. Vindman told the joint House impeachment panel on Oct. 29. Im responsible for Ukraine. Im the most knowledgeable. Im the authority for Ukraine for the National Security Council and the White House.
Im certainly not the president of the United States, he said at another point, when asked by a Republican whether he intervened to discourage Ukrainian officials from cooperating in a corruption investigation requested by President Trump...

Col. Vindman, his uniform brimming with medals as he entered the House committees special compartmental information facility, has won favorable coverage in The New York Times and other liberal media, as well as praise from Democrats wanting to impeach Mr. Trump.
When House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Eliot L. Engel, New York Democrat, questioned the officer, he started by saying, Have you received commendations and awards for your prior service?
Col. Vindman, 44, then took the committee on a tour of his ribbons,...

Col. Vindman, while touting himself as the supreme Ukraine authority, could not remember the name of Kyivs charge daffaires, who is serving as the highest-ranking diplomat in Washington.
I know the guy. I met with him a few times. His last name escapes me at the moment, he said.
Col. Vindman also erroneously credited President Barack Obama with sending the first lethal battlefield aid to Ukraine in the form of advanced Army Javelin anti-armor weapons.
In a hallmark decision, it was Mr. Trump who approved the transfer, which took place in March 2018.

What did he know about the Hunter Biden coreuption, when did he k ow it and what (if anything) did he do about it?
Vindman looks like he is an expert in buttplugs.
He’s throwing his hat in the 2020 ring in 3, 2...
This years winner of The Doug Neidermeyer Award For Biggest Jackass To Wear A Uniform is Alex Vindman.
Congratulations Alex!
>Vindman surely considers himself to be a genius and the smartest guy in the room but looks to be about as inept as Col. Klink.
Klink was a better officer. He was a full Col. After a long service Vindman made it only to a Light Col. There wont be many more raises in rank for him.
Hes a telephone Colonel.
Or a higher rank within the Deep State?
Good point.
He is no John Kerry
He’s a mall cop.
Scumbag narcissist traitor/spy with delusions of adequacy.
Ah yes, I remember it well..
His most commendable award is the Purple Heart. All the rest are salad fillers.
He’s delusional, and that may be grounds to force him completely out of public service and the government.
That’s what the testimony sounded like to me, too.
“I’m not aware of any Biden involvement in Ukaine.”
"I never knew no Godfather. I got my own family, Senator."
I did not laugh when Secretary of State (Gen) Haig made the statement Im In Charge. He was answering a question a reporter or someone in the room asked. His position made him the ranking official in that location at that moment.
Imagine what the reaction would have been if he had said: “Sir, no one is in charge here, at this moment. And I don’t know who will be in charge or when that will happen.”
Regarding LTC Vindman, he has a head too big for his position. He is a staff officer and not the CinC.
I hear you but he should know Presidential succession. The textbook answer was “per the Constitution, Vice President Bush.”
Yes, VP Bush was the correct answer, but he was on Air Force 2 somewhere over Texas. He was not present in Washington and the White House controlling things.
