Web traffic continued its dramatic spiral for Matt Drudge’s news aggregate site in October and at this point, the negative numbers are beginning to resemble one of the models employed to predict corporate disasters.
One of the things you learn as a Ceritifed Fraud Examiner is forensic accounting and modeling and Drudge’s recent and quick mud slide of web traffic is starting to look like the Enron model. And that obviously is not good.
It is a good thing Drudge is not working in corporate America or running a publicly-traded entity. He would be in deep trouble.
Drudge’s overall web traffic is down nearly 18 percent in September and October, according to the tracking metrics on Similar Web. That’s a massive and accelrated slide from approximately 93 million visits to 77 million.
Same here. I kicked Fox to the curb too, except for Dobbs, Tucker & an occasional Hannity. The Fox morning model went out with Dave Garroway and J Fred Muggs.

I'm on year five, at least. Drudge used to be my home page, long ago, but he dallied with the enemy too many times for my liking, so I quit.
I haven't missed it even a little bit. Everything I need is right here at FR.
Drudge does not create his own content; rather, his website is a clearing house for news reported from other media sources. Regardless of his personal views, Drudge's website appears anti-Trump because 99.9% of the MSM is anti-Trump and that's where he gets his content. With that said, I haven't been to Drudge in months -- not because he is anti-Trump, but because all the flashing ads and pop-ups give me a headache.

How high was Drudge at its peak ? I imagine it was much higher than it is now. I think the Drudge Report is going to be supplanted. I hope Bongino’s new endeavor helps put the Drudge Report on the scrap heap.

CFP is pretty good but the owner Citizen Kane is usually a day or two too late posting a story.
To increase the "hits" stats and increase the advertising revenue. It also gives the impression that he might update frequently.
It's all about the site's performance, and has nothing to do with improving the user experience.
Yeah, I had to take Daily Liberty off my phone. Kept getting some ad that locked my screen. Wonder why Daily Liberty would allow a sponsor like that.
“Drudge report” is nothing but links to websites that actually say something. It took no talent to build “Drudge report.”
He puts up a screaming link at the top, center, in large size type, sometimes in red. THAT is what attracts visitors who see that as the latest greatest biggest breaking news that everyone needs to see.
If you go there, use private browsing, and be sure you have Norton or Mcafee or other protection software. Many of the links lead to garbage sites that attempt to attack your computer.
