I received word from 2ndDivisionVet wife that he passed away.
I am not using his real name here out of respect but, will ping his handle and his wife can if she would like.
I didn't ask what he died from but, knowing him for better than 10 years, I knew of medical conditions and a few terrible Operations he had.
He was a wonderful human being who cared deeply for his fellow Americans and the ideals that make this country so great that people the world over want to come here and be free, live in liberty and be whoever they want
If you have ever spoke with 2ndDivisionVet, you know he was quick witted and wry.
What had always amazed me about him was not just his humor but, his ability to somehow take life in stride despite all he endured and be cheerfull.
He was amazingly resourceful in scouring the web for article we might find interesting.
Yes, 2ndDivisionVet really cared about all of us and our presence in his life gave him purpose
I really wish God had let him stay but, my thoughts are more selfish than the absolute knowledge that he is in a better place.
I hope to see him again one day.
Rest in peace and smile down on us 2ndDivisionVet
We’re losing too many good people. I feel like we can’t begin to fill their shoes. :-(
Rest in peace, 2ndDivisionVet.
Hoping we can exceed 1,000 by tomorrow night, so his wife will see how much he was loved...
RIP.....Prayers
My condolences and prayers.
What a loss. I’m a charter member of FR but have been kicked off twice. I now only come occasionally but I always notice 2nd Division Vet as he is so faithful at posting interesting stuff. May he rest in peace. And condolences to his wife and family.
May his family recover soon from their sorrow. I often included him in answers to articles I thought would interest him, I also feel the loss.
Go with God sir. Be free of this crap here.
i liked him. We were always copasetic.
You were kicked off? But...but...you are such a nice person...
Amen! It wil be pure glory to be free of this crap here! Lord, take me any time. This world is not fit to live in anymore. My soul longs for the Courts of the Lord.
Lost a lot of folks that seemed like institutions around here.
JohnHuang2,kattracks,Cindy,KentTrappedinLiberalSeattle.
They all seemed to fade away, sadly.
I’m going way back, too there. At least with one.
I too enjoyed 2ndDV’s posts. In the last couple of years he must have scoured the business sites for the announcements of new and expanding companies. Not sure if it was primarily to help folks find work, or good PR for President Trump and our growing economy. Yes - he will be sorely missed.
I am stunned and deeply saddened. 2ndDivisionVets passing is quite the blow to all of us here at FR that appreciated the time and effort he contributed to this forum. He will be sorely missed by us all.
My thoughts and prayers are with his wife and family. RIP dear 2ndDivisionVet.
His concern was to provide uplifting information and help those seeking employment
At one point in his life he was a headhunter and enjoyed placings of hundreds of American’s in good jobs
His name and posts were almost synonymous with this site. He will certainly be missed.
I pray he is at peace with Jesus now.
I may not pass that court but I’d accept my fate for my past. 2ndDivisionVet is goin to heaven that’s for sure.
Most Definitely will be missed here on Freep.
Rest In Peace.
