Skip to comments.Again?: GOP Sen. Mike Lee Keeps Pushing College Job Giveaway to Indians

Utah GOP Sen. Mike Lee is expected to try again on Thursday to pass his S.386 bill, which helps Indias graduates grab hundreds of thousands of college level jobs from American graduates.
All GOP Senators are expected to stay silent while Lee pushes his bill that rewards roughly 300,000 of Indias contract workers in the United States with a fast track to citizenship. Silicon Valley investors back his bill, which also allows companies to annually pay 60,000 of Indias contract workers plus 60,000 family members with government-provided green cards after they take jobs from American graduates.
Existing country caps set an annual limit of 20,000 on the number of cards that can be provided by employers to Indian visa workers.
Democrat Sen. Dick Durbin is expected to save American graduates from Lees bill by denying Lees request for a Unanimous Consent approval. This is Lees fifth attempt to pass his jobs giveaway bill.
But Durbin is blocking Lees bill because he wants to pass an even bigger giveaway that would reward roughly 240,000 Indian workers and family members each year with green cards, providing they take jobs from American graduates.
Durbins giveaway bill, dubbed the RELIEF Act, is based on the 1960s claim that America is a nation of immigrants, not a normal nation of citizens and their children.
On Wednesday, Durbin tried to pass his RELIEF Act by the Unanimous Consent process. But his request was blocked by GOP Sen. John Thune, South Dakota. The legislation to which the Senator from Illinois has referred, Senator Lees bill, hes not able to be here to object and so on his behalf, I object, said Thune, who did not criticize the Lee or Durbin bills.
The GOP may rely on Democrats to block Lees bill.

Follow the money. Who knows, there just might be an Indian trail leading to Lee.
Seriously, is this guy on the spectrum?
Please Utah! Stop him. Please.
GOP-E Senators- Best money can buy.
Let him run for Senator from Chennai.
One tweet from Trump could kill this. But in the campaign he seemed to draw a distinction between low skilled workers crawling across the border and his skilled ones on H1B visas. He was adamantly opposed to the former, much less so for the latter. He’ll sit on the sidelines for this debate, I think.
Well we now know who is funding Lee’s campaign chest.
Think of Americans first!
To paraphrase Mark Levin the other day, what Mike Lee has been doing has been very troubling.
I earned my Masters in Information Systems. Over the last 25 years, I have been released twice while cheaper Indians were retained. Lord knows how many other job applications were ignored because I’m American. This chaps my A$$.
The bill already failed
He is a dirtbag Mormon open borders slimeball following their cult positions which include open borders as long as people join and financially support the cult.
Had to get to the article to quit thinking about which Utah tribes he was talking about.
Call this traitor’s Washington office at 202-224-5444.
My thoughts exactly! This all comes down to who is paying him to act this way.
OK I found the information...Durbin is pushing for a hearing. Realize though that he wants more...bigger better bill. He is not opposed to expanding the foreign work force any more than he is opposed to open borders.
Update (10/31/19): Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) spoke on the Senate floor and expressed his desire for a future unanimous consent vote on S.386 and denied that hearings on the bill were necessary. Sen. Durbin (D-IL) has, in a letter to Sen. Cornyn (R-TX), requested a hearing on the bill and is currently blocking the unanimous consent request. A Sen. Cornyn spokesman suggested that Sen. Durbin end blocking of the bill.
It is not just Silicon Valley Tech Workers who are impacted...
Here is scary story of Accountants at Toys R Us from the article:
The scale of this U.S.-India Outsourcing Economy is huge.
But it is difficult to track because Indias workforce in the United States also moves many jobs back into India. For example, the New York Times reported how Toys R Us company used just eight Indian visa workers to outsource much of its 67-person computer department to India:
For four weeks this spring, a young woman from India on a temporary visa sat elbow to elbow with an American accountant in a snug cubicle at the headquarters of Toys R Us here. The woman, an employee of a giant outsourcing company in India hired by Toys R Us, studied and recorded the accountants every keystroke, taking screen shots of her computer and detailed notes on how she issued payments for toys sold in the companys megastores.
She just pulled up a chair in front of my computer, said the accountant, 49, who had worked for the company for more than 15 years. She shadowed me everywhere, even to the ladies room.
By late June, eight workers from the outsourcing company, Tata Consultancy Services, or TCS, had produced intricate manuals for the jobs of 67 people, mainly in accounting. They then returned to India to train TCS workers to take over and perform those jobs there. The Toys R Us employees in New Jersey, many of whom had been at the company more than a decade, were laid off.
I suspect you might be right.
I believe that many of these visa and job
giveaway advocates are getting foreign
"contributions" to betray the American people.
