Republican Utah Sen. Mike Lee will try again to pass his S.386 bill, which grants green cards to India’s college graduates if they take jobs from American graduates. “I believe it’s ready for prime time,” Mike Lee said in a June 19 statement on the Senate floor, adding: It is ready to become law … I intend to be back next week making yet another attempt to pass this bill into law. And I hope and expect that we will be able to do so. Leon Fresco, a Democrat lawyer working with Lee to pass the bill, also declared the bill will pass the Senate:

Mike Lee needs to be forced to train his replacement, and then fired.

Sure does make one wonder if the higher voice he listens to is Mitt Romney.

I'm sure they both listen to the political Mob Bosses in the upper levels of the Mormon church. I don't have anything in particular against Mormons but I'm not impressed either. Mormons are for Mormons. America is a distant second or third it would seem.

Is President Trump in favor of Lee’s bill (S386)?

Is there any Republican not named Trump who isn’t a festering piece of human trash?

I wonder if there will ever be colleges that wake up and provide a full college experience with vocational certification. They do it for business, teaching, and medicine, why not plumbing (etc)?

I don't think they will. They should slim down the course requirements and teach just the courses a person needs for those professional jobs they do train for but trade schools and apprentice programs are better suited to handle blue collar training IMHO.

Of course their argument is they teach students how to think (leftist) so all the other courses not involved with training for a chosen field is to graduate a more rounded student rather than a field focused student. Funny how so many students under this type of teaching become radicalized commie activists...

PA has two worthless senators, and while toomey was a decent congress critter, the high life of K street, corrupted him.

Term limits is the answer for this. National politics wasn't intended to be life-long career path. Two 4-year terms for senators. Four 2-year terms for reps at the national level should be it. Then they go back to their real career or they work in the background as a paid political advisor/hitman.

That isn't to say some people could indeed make a life-long career as an elected official by starting local, term out, go county and state level, term out, go national; first as a rep then possibly as a senator, term out, then work at some level in the background or as a paid talking head. Better yet; go buy a bar, restaurant, or simply work like anyone else as a paid employee.

Term limits and just regular social security pensions with an optional medical care program available for a normal fee. Politicians get far too many perks they shouldn't get. This is all part of what corrupts them into thinking they are entitled to this special treatment they don't deserve.

Jim Jordan comes to mind. I truly believe he's one of the few good guys in DC. If only we could somehow get 534 more just like him; our Republic would thrive and shine like no other. Oh; and pull the broadcasting licenses from CNN, WaPo, and the NYT.

Proof again that the GOP is up for sale to the highest bidder. What American wants or even cares if this passes? What about a Fairness to American IT workers Act?

Legislation designed to make the life of foreign nationals "fair" should be amended out of the Constitution.

If they paid marker wages the domestic supply of IT workers would increase. But paying market wages is a antiquated theory../sarc

When a bill such as this one passes with “unanimous consent” all 100 Senators are Free Traitors™.

If the importation of foreign IT scabs were to stop wages would increase and the supply would increase. But WE CAN’T HAVE THAT. /sarc

I am resigned to the fact that Jarvanka has convinced Trump to sign it.... A hunch but, I a seldom wrong. If there is opportunity to sell out the invisible American IT worker, they will.

I’d like to hope that he is how he represents himself.

But it’s also possible that he is simply an actor playing a role in the kabuki theater.

A role designed to pacify us by making us think well at least we have a good guy there, even though he can’t do anything, because he is only one. In the end, the trajectory of America doesn’t change.

You can tell that the election of Trump really thwarted the plans of whoever is running the scam. That one really caught them by surprise.

Back in 1963, I graduated from high school. It was from an area that still remembered its manufacturing and farming roots. My folks didn't have HS diplomas, which was no big deal when they grew up during the Depression.

They would not let me go to college unless I had a job skill. And they insisted I be qualified to "do something" with that College Diploma!

Today, so many students never held a real, work hard, minimum wage job in HS or College. They're too busy doing "public service" work for the good of the community and cutesy thing to stuff their college application.

I must have read too much Ayn Rand as a child. If I provide a necessary service, I expect to be paid. Do our youth even read Ayn Rand anymore? Or The Ugly American?

End of Rant.

But we did produce the best President since The Great One and his most loyal pit bull and friend Giuliani. So there’s that :)

NY also produced Antonin Scalia (mostly).
