"The check's in the mail" is a promise that payment's been sent even if it hasn't. It's a stalling tactic to avoid pressure from creditors, from those expecting payment.
That's the scam our government is running on the American people today, a ruse to tamp down expectations of justice. We all know that the FBI used an unverifiable document, the Steele dossier, to get a warrant to spy on Trump using the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA). This dossier was used to start a counterintelligence operation to plant spies in Trump's campaign, to get a special counsel to impeach the president.

Yeah. So They would face negative consequences. Maybe soldiers should refuse to go on patrol too. If they are too cowardly to accept the consequences of telling the truth about the coup, they have no business in the CIA or FBI. At least snowden had balls and loved America.

She misunderstands what happened
The recent IG report was limited in scope and served to provide reason and evidence for the comey firing.
The fact the report did not provide a criminal referral is irrelevant. That can and will come for actual criminal activity provable beyond doubt in a court....... unless there is a black woman on the jury.
Read the founders. They knew government was dangerous. More so these days because the government is not only dangerous, it is unmanageable.
Trump is the last president elected by U.S. citizens.

Barr may be a decent and honorable man but he is surrounded by fierce partisans. I don’t see him roughing anyone up there to establish his position as the chief law enforcement officer of the nation. You know the old expression: you have to crack a few eggs to make an omelet. I don’t see anything to indicate that he is taking charge of his own agency.
To the contrary, he seems to have been stonewalled by his own subordinates (e.g., Wray).
In the end all we will see from Barr and Durham is an “indictment” of the agencies for not following proper procedures and violating policies.
Barr is just another Horowitz in the making.

We've been led down this path of thinking the FBI, DOJ, intelligence services will eventually come clean and the bad guys would be tried and convicted and sent to jail. Just hang in there. Wait for such and such's report. That'll nail them for sure. We've got them right where we want them. Just you wait. And wait and wait and wait.
But surprise, surprise, surprise! as Gomer Pyle would say. Turns out, nobody is going to get charged, tried or convicted of any crimes against the state and the worst that will happen is that they will lose their jobs (with a hefty taxpayer pension) and all of us will be left holding the bag.
There are those of us, myself included, who have said all along that nothing will ever come of these internal investigations or the re-do of the Hillary-Comey-Lynch debacle. We've waited patiently, all the while being told by some FReepers that it's going to happen, just give it more time.
Well, it's been a full two and a half years into Trump's first term and still nothing. Barr decided not to nail Comey? WTF?! These other criminals and traitors will all go free and just blend back into the background that is the Deep State of our government.
Wake me up when somebody, anybody, is indicted, arrested, tried and convicted in this mess. And don't tell me to be patient any longer. I have been patient too long and nothing.
Time for a long nap, knowing that no one will wake me up with the news that Hillary is going to jail. Because it is obvious at this point that she never will even see the inside of a courtroom, let alone a jail cell.

I once had a professor who had a lot of experience and knowledge of the federal bureaucracy. He used to say: “Presidents come and go but the bureaucracy is there permanently. They were here when he came and they will be here after he’s gone.” Such is life in DC.
The deep state is the very heart of the District of Corruption. It would be extremely surprising if any of the perps even go to trial.
Most of the entrenched will probably get an apology.

Yes, some. There are good people in government but they are quickly threatened into silence for one simple reason. The leftists in charge threaten their livelihood. This is the foundational reason why leftism succeeds. People are threatened into submission.

It’s been reported no grand juries have been impaneled. What’s going now is we are being conditioned to accept the fact that “punishments other than indictments” are all we are going to get. Bruce Ohr still works for the FBI, etc.
If Barr was truly serious about prosecuting Democrats he would never allow Horowitz to work bankers hours and continue slow walking his “investigation”. With November 2020 fast approaching time is of the essence here, obviously.
