"The check's in the mail" is a promise that payment's been sent even if it hasn't. It's a stalling tactic to avoid pressure from creditors, from those expecting payment.
That's the scam our government is running on the American people today, a ruse to tamp down expectations of justice. We all know that the FBI used an unverifiable document, the Steele dossier, to get a warrant to spy on Trump using the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA). This dossier was used to start a counterintelligence operation to plant spies in Trump's campaign, to get a special counsel to impeach the president.

Some of the people in government are you enemy, folks. The issue is most of the ones who are you enemy, are in senior positions in government and they get to make the decisions.

Growing up, the lefties would skewer and castigate the FBI and CIA. For that I reacted by supporting those agencies MORE than I already did. But what happened was as time went on those young disgusting, drug-abusing, trouble-causing BUMS grew up and got ambitious. They TOOK OVER those agencies, causing them to do the stuff they'd been accusing of doing in the beginning.
They were penniless rotten back then, and they're rich & rotten now, but now they're IN CHARGE.
Our FBI and intel community is ROTTEN.

Complaining about the injustices within the FBI is just as self-destructive and fruitless as complaining about the injustices in the military services. You get branded as a troublemaker, and shuttled into some slot where you remain forever ineffectual, until the time you may finally depart the premises, never to return.
Unless you get jailed first. For totally fictitious charges, and no chance of appeal.
Justice is a bigger and more important campaign issue than any other promise he has made, to include the wall.
Thought experiment. If you were Bill Barr, you genuinely understood the frustration out there with the appearance of two standards of justice, and you genuinely wanted to do something about it—but you knew you were fighting the entrenched bureaucrats of the deep state and their allies in the media, what would you do?
Here’s what I think I would do.
1. I would put the project of conducting the investigation and prosecutions of the deep state bad actors in the hands of a out of Washington are prosecutor who has a reputation for being tough as nails, and a proven track record of willing to go after the entrenched bureaucracy.
2. I would pick and choose my battles. If there were multiple issues to prosecute on, I would choose the one with the clearest, best facts, and that case the widest net.
3. I would absolutely shut up about what’s going on until the indictments come down, to minimize the opportunity the deep state’s allies in the press have to roil things.
As far as I can see, that could still be exactly what is going on, behind the scenes.
I know its quite frustrating to have to wait, but I am still withholding judgment waiting to see whether they prosecute the whole FISA/ investigate Trump project. If they don’t, that’s when I will conclude that the justice system in this country is fundamentally unfair and broken.

I seem to remember a statement from some OLD Senators back around the Clinton impeachment time when it was brought up that there was no way that Nixon would have been convicted/impeached by the Senate as the far stretching ramifications would have been impossible to handle.
That said - whether true or not - we have a ‘different breed’ of person representing us now, and what were a few ‘jokes’ in Congress etal have suddenly turned out to be a strong movement...we ‘laughed’ at the idiots that said Guam would tip over, all the shenanigans of Jackson-Lee, the blatant stupidity of ‘the hat’, Mad Maxine, the likes of a disgraced Federal Judge a long time Congressman, notice a trend to who I have ‘singled out’ but throw in the Nadlers, Shumers, Romneys (and the other RINOs that don’t want to have the gravy train interrupted) and now these ‘4 wacky broads’ who are gaining attention and are probably ‘seated for life’, seeing what districts they are in.
Remember the old ‘prediction’ from way back when about a ‘Democracy’ can last only a couple hundred years because it takes about that long for the have nots to band together and destroy the haves (or something along that line)
Then again remember a handful of Whites used to rule Africa with an iron fist and even in this country we placed the ‘natives’ in/on reservations and it took a not so long time for them to figure out they really aren’t controlled by OUR laws - so to speak -.
A little bit of schooling goes a long way....One would think that the Indian Nations with the Casinos would ALL be living in tall cotton but one notices that the ‘successful’ ones ran away from the have nots and left them in squalor....How long before the Indian Nation uprises and takes over their own ‘land’ first?
As to the introducing new, uncontrolled ‘blood’ to the nation, always sit back and think of what may have been had the Pilgrims at Plymouth Rock & Jamestown been met with a hostile reception committee that said— now turn that boat around and go back where you came from...

This is the biggest scandal ever:
The illegal use of intelligence agencies of the United States to run operations on opposition political candidates,violating the rights of possibly hundreds of Americans, and then attempting a coup when their candidate fails.
And Obama is at least a witness in any proceeding.
This is a big thing so it would probably be best for Barr to slow walk it and make sure ALL the ducks are lined up before making things real.
The Comey memo crapshow is just a minor part of the big picture and Comey has deliberately created legal ambiguity. Bringing charges on the memos is a bit risky.

So far there are no indications that justice will be done. Whether or not Comey could have been convicted as a result of his leaking of classified information and/or other crimes should not have deterred the DOJ from charging him. He violated our laws and should be held to account regardless of whether a conviction was likely or not.
The vaunted concept of equal justice under the law is a total farce.
The DOJ is serving itself, not the American people.
Having been through Scripture a few times, I don’t recall many aggrieved people living to see justice in their lifetime.

Reversion to the mean will happen instantly when Trump departs, unless the people make the effort to keep the government in check.
