Entertainment mogul and part-time political activist Oprah Winfrey says the spat of mass shootings occurring in America are a result of the country’s disconnect with faith and church, which once provided people with “values about a way of living and being in the world.”
Speaking with Extra host Renee Bargh about the deadly mass shootings in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio that left more than 30 people dead and dozens more injured, Oprah said “I think what people are missing is a core moral center.”

I only read the excerpt, and I think she has a point. It’s a bit simplistic but at least she’s in the right place.
Unfortunately I think we’d have different opinions on what “moral center” actually means. As others said, most of us have a moral center, a moral compass, principles that guide our decisions.
Right now, the left and the media are completely off the rails, unhinged. All we really have to work with are anecdotes and statistics, but the left leads with idle speculation and pronounced judgments of culpability - without evidence and without measure. They are incapable of being a productive part of any sort of rationale examination of any problems at this point. To them it is all a game of political advantage. Truly dismaying.
She needs to spend more time with John of God.
That moral center used to be provide by fathers.

What most people are missing is having a personal relationship with Jesus, having accepted Jesus as their savior. When it comes to getting our life right, and to recognize that there is only only one God, and to love our neighbor as ourself, most people and most Americans choose another path. Choose the narrow gate through Jesus. It is the only one that works...and it is the only choice that works every time.
