I’m confused. The article says the gunman was neutralized within a minute of the shooting starting, yet 9 dead, 27 wounded meaning 30 rounds plus a reload not counting shots that didn’t hit anyone and he’s down in a minute?
Something doesn’t compute.
These are all young people, we need to look at what is creating this outcome.
In one photo he’s wearing a vest that says “Against The Gods” on it in sort of gothic script. Does anyone know what that refers to? Otherwise just looks like a basic white kid. He’s employed while in community college. No manifesto that I’ve seen. Good shot by law enforcement saved many lives.

I wonder why Betts was refused admission to the bar? Had he caused trouble on a previous occasion, or earlier that night? Was he intoxicated? Or was there just something “off” about him? Or maybe it had nothing to do with him personally, e.g., the bar was at capacity, or it was near closing time.

The Dayton police named the victims. One was the gunman’s sister and another one was her boyfriend. I can’t imagine that was coincidence and could be motive for the shooting.
I substitute teach in my retirement. At least 20% of the boys are diagnosed ADD,AHDD, ODS, Bi-polar, Depressive or some other disorder. They don’t have any responsibilities, just playing computer games 8 hrs. a day. Any mention of God or the Bible brings disbelief or anger. The post-Christian liberal version of America is succeeding.
His parents (or mother and stepfather) hated Republicans. It’s all here for the few who would bother finding it and reading it.

The problem with trying to analyze and dissect these shooters and look for cause and effect is that we have what, ten to twenty such shooters in the past few years? And how many young white guys who fall into say a ten year age group of 18 to 28? Maybe 12 to 15 million?
Ilhan Omar has one heck of a task before her, monitoring and keeping track of all those white guys. I’m afraid the problem is that now, since the specter of the mass murderer is now in our culture, the sickest minds have that possibility to obsess over and a tiny few will actually act upon it.
But it’s still such a tiny few out of the population that identifying the few who might plan and move to carry out such an act is pretty much hopeless, except possibly during the final minutes before that the act is attempted.
Since the previous gunman had a dual diagnosis therapist for a father and a nurse for a mother, anyone know anything about this guys parents? His 22 year old sister was shot there as well.
Anyone know if this guys online profiles have been changed like the last shooter?
