(CNN) A group of boys on bicycles gather on a dusty side-street in eastern Saudi Arabia.
Foot on pedal, 10-year-old Murtaja Qureiris is about to lead the group of around 30 children. In video footage obtained by CNN, he is wearing rolled up denim jeans and black flip-flops on his feet, and grinning at the camera recording the event. It may look like a regular bike ride, but the group is staging a protest.
Moments after they set off, Qureiris gets lost in the sea of boys, struggling to keep up as he lifts a megaphone and presses it against his lips. The people demand human rights! he shouts.
As a boy, Qureiris participated in demonstrations like this bike ride, expressions of dissent in Saudi Arabias Eastern Province during the 2011 Arab Spring.
Three years after he was filmed taking part in the bike protest, Saudi authorities arrested Qureiris, then just 13 years old. He was traveling with his family to Bahrain when he was detained by Saudi border authorities on the King Fahd causeway that connects the two countries.
At the time, he was considered by lawyers and activists to be the youngest known political prisoner in Saudi Arabia.
Now, at the age of 18, Qureiris is facing the death penalty after being held for almost four years in pre-trial detention, CNN has learned.

Another CNN story about this? They must still be getting paid by Qatar to write propaganda for their international troublemaking.
This is the country that I keep being told here is the lesser of two evils and worth ONE drop of American blood.
How many iranians (small caps on purpose) were among the hijackers on 9/11?
How many TENS of BILLIONS have the Sauds given to terrorists?
The House of Saud may be the lesser evil in Saudi Arabia.
BOTH they and the Iranian mullahs are ENEMIES AND SHOULD BE KILLED AND GO STRAIGHT TO ####ING HELL ON THE BACK OF AN AMERICAN MISSILE!!!!
But that’s just me.
Let them kill the kid.
A 13 year old knows what he does.
For attending something when he was ten. You’re getting a look back in time to the 7th. century; in India, they arrested and charged a nine month old baby for a crime.
How many Saudis took American Embassy personal hostage and held them for 444 days?
How many TENS of BILLIONS have the Sauds given to terrorists?
How many terrorists have the Iranians given safe haven to?
Look, a plague on all their houses. Any mohammedan is an enemy to all free people anywhere in the long run. But sometimes they can be useful to fight each other.
But I suggest crying no sad tears over anything CNN tells you. For sure they are leaving a bunch of stuff out.
Poor kid, doesn’t he know that under Islam Sharia and Sharia alone defines human rights?
Now, I don’t say that to imply that I agree with the idea that whatever the culture seems to be doing at the moment somehow defines human rights or civil rights ... I do not agree with that at all ... though the Left embraces it ... but I do say that to highlight how even those living under Sharia can be confused over the reality of what Islam is ... so we should hardly be surprised at how easily others who do not live under Sharia have been manipulated by the likes of the Muslim Brotherhood or the OIC.
Meanwhile it’s probably easy to find Muslims in the US who will be horrified by what is happening to this kid and yet when asked will say that they too want Sharia in the USA. Do they not realize that what protects their kids or grandkids from this fate is precisely them not getting the Sharia that they want (because it’s what their religion demands they should want)?
The Saudis needs to wake up and join the 21st century...
??? You’re nuts!
x2
Just keep in mind there are degrees of bad and evil. There is bad and evil in all countries including this one. Sometimes the U.S. has to support bad regimes for strategic reasons.
how many saudi governmental officials helped the 9-11 hijackers in the US?
The thing that keeps SA from getting even worse is the grace of God in the form of scads of petroleum.
As counterintuitive as it sounds, our first move should be to praise the Lord that this kind of thing is still rare. Most political prisoners in SA are far older. Our second move should be to dig into the context. In Islam we are looking at a dicey copy of bible morality, which liberated boys at the age of 13. Modern Western society keeps various umbrellas of protection over boys until the age of 21 (the drinking age).
Bridging this gap would, essentially, take evangelizing Saudi Arabia with Christianity. They are a religious people — but not according to knowledge of God.
Perhaps a lot, by nodding and winking.
according to the redacted 9-11 report segments made public by Obama, at least 2.
....but just the 8th century would be an improvement.

Getting on the clock of the Ancient of Days is best of all.
