The Republican Party never much liked Donald Trump or what he represented.
The GOP and establishment conservative groups never much liked Trumps supporters.
Republicans were fine at cowering behind their desks at the first sign of adversity. They were used to making promises and not following through. They were happy to cede power to a radical fascist left that continues to tear away at the fabric of this great nation.
When Trump won Paul Ryan said he would build a wall. Paul Ryan lied repeatedly. He never had any intention of building a wall.
Either did Mitch McConnell.
When Trump declared a national emergency at the border 12 Senate Republicans voted against him. TWELVE!
In May GOP senators killed off Trump supporter Steve Moores nomination to the Federal Reserve Board.
They said they would not support tariffs on our southern enemy. They wont support this president.
But the worst abuses are on the US Constitution.
Since 2016 the far left tech giants and radical liberal groups have been eliminating conservative voices online. They are harassing companies to remove advertising from conservative platforms and FOX News shows. Hundreds of conservatives have been affected.
The left is using fascist tactics to rid the internet of conservative voices. And NO ONE IS DOING ANYTHING TO STOP THEM!
No one.
When conservatives were kicked off YouTube or Twitter or Facebook the GOP said nothing and did nothing.
When Trump supporters get their ass kicked by an Antifa mob, Republicans do nothing.
It is clear the Republican Party is AWOL. They are like a shell company. Just a name and nothing else.
Maybe its time to think about a new movement? Maybe its time to Brexit the GOP?
When people continue to show you who they are, believe them.

Like Reagan Trump will be gone in eight years..and its back to normal...
The only way is a huge tax revolt..but half the people do not pay taxes..
Plus the fools in the blue states flee to the red states and turn them blue...
You would need a Trump like president for thirty years to turn this country around..
What has the GOP passed except tax cuts.,.,.
Must give them credit for judges..they might hold of the fall a few more years
We need to constantly call them and let them know what we think! Millions of Trump supporters calling them would give them pause. They are in the DC bubble and think we don’t know what is going on.
He played the nomination process perfectly and basically hijacked the GOP
***************
Trump has not hijacked the GOP. They don’t support him and they don’t support us.
no
The only place to previl is within the Republican party
Third party bravado is a losing proposition
The problem is not the GOP...
The problem is the azzholes elected in the GOP party...
Grassroots conservative republicans need to get better people running for office and I maen all the way from local, state, to federal government...
President Trump was a good start...Now, lets start locally...
Remember that if we elect enough Trump-supporting Republicans in 2020, the RINOs will lose their power to screw things up.
So let’s not do what Democrats want us to do: Doom ourselves by fighting one another! Let’s remember that even the worst RINO is better for America than ANY Democrat!
Instead let’s find good Republican candidates for seats that Democrats currently hold — and then let’s be sure that those new candidates have enough money to WIN those seats!
IMHO, our goal should be to elect a filibuster-proof super-majority in the Senate, and a RINO-proof majority in the House.
Purge the GOPee. We first need term limits and then we need to run and elect true conservative candidates.
It’s going to take several electoral cycles to do it, but you’re right, we have to take the incremental approach. Get what you can with each election.
Trump needs to get elected again, we need the house back and send as many RINOs packing as we can. That would be a start. Then I have my eye on Dan Crenshaw to follow Trump and try to continue the good work.
Two things to keep in mind before you complain about the GOP failing to support Trump and failing to help push his agenda:
1. From what I've read, every GOP House and Senate member who won in 2016 carried his/her district or state by a larger margin than Trump did. Keep this in mind when you wonder why these people aren't enthusiastic Trump supporters. Their constituents like them more than they like Trump.
2. Trump held a rally in Grand Rapids, Michigan a couple of months ago. According to the accounts I've read, somewhere between 30% and 35% of the attendees were registered Democrats. These are voters who will vote for Trump but are not likely to vote for GOP House and Senate candidates.
What Trump is doing here is trying to steer a political conversation within a two-party system when our political landscape is actually dominated by three political movements:
A. Globalism (the dominant movement in Washington ... Hillary Clinton was the Globalist candidate in 2016)
B. Marxism (a subset of the Democratic Party ... Bernie Sanders was the Marxist candidate in 2016)
C. Nationalism (a loosely-affiliated group of mostly Republicans but also many Democrats and conservative Independents ... Donald Trump was the Nationalist candidate in 2016)
Here are your three "political parties," folks. Now tell me how Party C wins control of anything beyond the White House.
I've been saying that for years. If Texas cedes, I'm out of here.
“...general collapse is the answer...” Really?
But thanks for your opinion, Vladimir....
You win for post of the day!
The visual I got when I read your post was of socialists heads literally exploding! That would be one way to eliminate a lot of them.
Others are right. They ALL make promises and then forget once in office.
We will get HARD CORE RIGHT challengers who will be bought and sold in a week.
dems are no different actually
sure they ####ed things up under obummer but when he had both chambers, no one put forth a 70 percent top income tax or any other of what the BASE (the insane folks wanted).
Except what we want makes sense.
They are all bought and sold.
my complaints about th got started before trump. I see no reason to support the party. Trump will be gone someday and we will be stuck in the middle.

Permanently? Are you parsing now? Why did you BOLD your original comment as if to be emphatic, and why didn't you put 'hijack' in quotes then, but not now? Here is your original comment exactly as it appeared:
No. He played the nomination process perfectly and basically hijacked the GOP.
Trump will be gone someday and we will be stuck in the middle.

Trump will be gone and the GOP will remain the feckless and unprincipled party that it was, just like it did after Reagan left office.
No. It is time to remove RINOs from the electable conservative party.
Going third party is what Teddy Roosevelt did to William Howard Taft, and we got the progressive Woodrow Wilson.
Clowns to the left of us, Jokers to the right.
No. It didn’t work for Teddy Roosevelt, it hasn’t worked for the Libertarians, it won’t work for President Trump.
A better option would be to wage war against the GOP-E. Vote against them in Primaries, withhold your vote in General or vote third party. Don’t give the GOP money - only give it to specific candidates.
