The U.S. Supreme Court will decide the fate of a fiercely contested plan by President Donald Trump’s administration to add a citizenship question to the 2020 census, agreeing on Friday to an expedited review of a judge’s ruling blocking the plan.

Exactly. I don’t get this. If you want to be counted and you are here illegally or on a visa, you should have to say yes or no.

If someone is afraid they will be prosecuted for breaking the law, when they are actually and positively breaking the law...what the hell?

ARE WE SUPPOSED TO PROTECT THEM FOR BREAKING THE LAW TO MAKE THEM FEEL SAFER, OR TO AID PEOPLE LIKE THE LEFT WHO WANT TO DESTROY THIS COUNTRY BY SIMPLY NOT ASKING THEM??????????

Supposedly the question itself isn’t the problem. The open borders/pro-illegal immigration crowd knows it so they challenged the process that was added with.

Unless SCOTUS wants to claim citizenship is a “right to privacy” issue when asked by the same government that GRANTED the citizenship in the first place, I don’t see how there’s a constitutional issue here.

Last census I only answered how many lived here. A census worker came to my door to ask me the rest of the questions.. She got sneaky using ‘small talk’ to get more info out of me. I said “Hey, you’re trying to trick me!” I must have scared her.. She quickly left. Heh.

Roberts reminds me of my liberal ex-husband. He even looks like him.

“President Donald Trump’s administration to add a citizenship question to the 2020 census”

F’n Reuters. He wants to restore the question, it was removed by Obongo. Roberts is an open border hack so I am not optimistic.

"... the question violates the Fifth Amendment protection and must be removed."

~~~~~~~~~~
Does the 5th Amendment protect CRIMINAL INVADERS?
If so, if we were invaded by China during election time, all their soldiers could vote...
The question appears on dozens of government forms and applications. If you cannot ask it on a census form, then why can you ask it on a college application, gun background check form, Medicaid/SSI form?
"The plaintiffs said the question would scare immigrants and Latinos into abstaining from the census, disproportionately affecting Democratic-leaning states."
Is there any bigger confession of their true motives?
Re: A history of Census....
This is amazing to me. How can a census conducted by the federal government not include a question on citizenship. What more important data is there for the government to know than how many citizens actually constitute the makeup of the nation.
What kind of people develop the census forms?
No. But the 14th Amendment protects everything a SJW court wants.
As for Chinese soldiers, don’t laugh. Mark Levin posited that if The Beast won and nominated judges, they would have found a fundamental right to vote for everyone in the US.
We must realize that PDJT represents but a pause in the Left’s Long March through our institutions.
An earlier posting had the SCOTUS OK the Citizen question That question should stand
One thing the Mexican Constitution has that we should consider doing.Mexico has no hyphenated Mexicans. They prohibit any reference to race when they conduct a census or issue any means of identification, Where a physical description is needed skin color yes but not by race or nationality or tribal background.By doing this Mexico has avoided “balkanizing”, creating fractional disputes in areas where a given group in one of its states is a majority or a minority.
WHY ARE WE ALLOWING CITIZENS FROM OTHER COUNTRIES
ENTERING ILLEGALLY GRANTING THEM RIGHTS
THAT THEIR COUNTRY DENY US HAVING
WHEN ENTERING IT LEGALLY ???
It’s time we consider illegal entry by any person who is a non Mexican citizen illegally entering the United States through the US Mexican border a defacto Mexican citizen with limited Mexican constitutional rights subject to their laws while transiting. As well as any Mexican citizen doing so. Subject to reciprocal citizen treatment a citizen of the United States receives in Mexico through the Mexican constitution on citizenship .
Besides being unable to vote one must also be a citizen to own land and Mexico is very restrictive about granting citizenship. Because of that a US citizen besides not being able to vote,and cannot have title in their name to any land property in Mexico. And until that is changed the US and the affected state should consider making that reciprocal.prohibiting citizens of Mexico or countries with similar restrictions from doing both voting and land ownership..
