Six GOP Senators briefed Jared Kushner and President Donald Trump’s top congressional aide about a plan to swap two amnesties in exchange for border-wall funding.
The six GOP Senators included Graham, North Carolina’s Thom Tillis, Tennessee’s Lamar Alexander, Ohio’s Rob Portman, Alaska’s Lisa Murkowski, and Maine’s Susan Collins.
The Senators’ draft offer to the Democrats, however, also includes incentives sought by GOP-aligned business groups, such as an expansion of the H-2B blue collar visa-worker program.
Few Democrats support the H-2B visa program but its inclusion could encourage GOP legislators to ignore protests from the GOP’s pro-American base. Several GOP Senators in the group also support a DACA amnesty because it would add more imported workers and consumers to their local markets.

Alexander, Graham, Murkowsky, Hoeven, Rubio, Tillis, Burr, Lankford, Gardner, Cornyn, Hyde-Smith, Collins, Sasse, Kennedy, Shelby, Ernst, Blunt, McConnell, Wicker, Portman, Isakson, Johnson, Toomey, Rounds, Thune, Gaines, Barasso and Enzi are all Bush League Republicans.
To them amnesty is the only solution.

The schools in most of Los Angeles are now 95% “hispanic”. If they were this un-diverse but filled with WASPs, the screaming would be endless.

If they don’t want to do a deal, that’s fine. They’ll lose leverage over the outcome.
Doesn’t any repub in Congress have any idea how to negotiate? Because this is a prime example of how NOT to do it.
And just like with Reagan and ALL of the subsequent “promised” wall funding, Trump will get NOTHING at all!

Trump long ago offered DACA amnesty for the Wall, and was told where to stuff it. Dems don’t care about the “Dreamers” (and, yeah, my kids have dreams TOO, and they’re legal), they care about power - obtaining, expanding and maintaining it. More illegals = more Dem voters, and if they get their critical mass (and we’re all too close to that), then their will never again be any Republican control of Congress or the Presidency.

Trump should declare an emergency, and order the Corps of Engineers to build a steel-reinforced, CONCRETE barrier, ASAP. Then start up the government...with NOTHING for the Dems or the illegal-loving Pubbies.
