Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg had two cancerous nodules removed from her left lung Friday at a New York hospital, the Supreme Court announced.
There is no evidence of any remaining disease, says a court spokesperson, nor is there evidence of disease elsewhere in the body.

she has a right to medical privacy.
Is anyone required to be forthcoming with her health?
Didn’t she have pancreatic ? This is probably pancreatic spreading. Not good (for her).
Time to go.
Vile. Evil.
Not necessary if Republicans lead the Senate.
For what it is worth:
“both nodules removed during surgery were found to be malignant on initial pathology evaluation.”
Heh heh
That’s what Mitch said LAST, so I’d bet it depends on whether the SC nominee is Mitch’s choice.
They have NO power in the Senate. Believe me, if they had had control when Scalia died, the vacancy would have been filled. The consequences of elections.
I heard that she had planned on retiring in January because of health reasons. I heard that two months ago, and that she had cancer. We will see if that was true or not.
Maden name?
“and media is saying the doctor said no other signs of cancer in her entire body???”
Maybe they removed the body and all that’s left is cancer ?
Wishing her a speedy retirement.
Individual cases vary widely when it comes to cancer.

Very much so. My wife has kidney cancer. My son has brain cancer. I don’t recall any doctor giving either one of them an estimate of how long before......
Often times it is not the cancer that gets them, it is pneumonia or some complication from chemo, radiation such as an infection etc.
Evil stuff.
My dad went through the process 15 years ago when he was 81, and was in good shape for at least another 3 or 4 years. It did, however, come back and get him, partially because he refused to see the doctors for follow-up care, but that's another issue.
Technology and, I'm sure, much more careful follow-up on the part of the Notorious RBG, could keep it at bay for a while.
The term lobectomy is commonly used for removing part of a lobe, as well as a whole lobe, so we can’t tell just from the use of that word.
Nonetheless, with three broken ribs and surgery on a lung, breathing is going to be restricted, with risk of pneumonia and reduced general vigor.
The word malignant however, is very significant. The statement that no further treatment is planned is also kind of grim, but not unreasonable for someone her age.
My ex was diagnosed in late September and gone Dec 15 last year.
If they start popping malignant growths outta my carcass, i start making “arrangements” and begin to “get my affairs in order”..
In PDJT's case, both parties in the Senate are opposing parties!
Can you imagine losing up to half a lung at that age?
I didn’t see, in the article, where they removed half of her lung.
Were the sizes of the nodules given? I didn’t see that, either.
Today’s procedures can be minimally invasive...small incision in the side, between the ribs.
My guess is that her ribs were weakened by a pre-existing cancer that spread to her left lung, the cancerous nodes having been discovered near the ribs. It’s rather suspicious that her lung and rib procedures were done at Sloane-Kettering, which is famed for its skill at treating cancer.
