Some of this is starting to creep into our forum again, hence the reminder.

Debate the issues all you want, but please don't make it personal. Keep it clean, above board and above belt.

Also, whether pro or con, keep the q stuff off our regular forum threads. Post it on the q thread in chat/conspiracy. But again, keep it clean, don't make it personal, no name calling, no attacks, no threats, no violence.

Don't be a TROLL. Stay on topic, don't flame, don't engage in flamewars, feuds, cross-thread arguments, stalking or harassment.

If you don't like the subject or topic of the thread to the point you become abusive or trollish, stay off it.

The rules also apply to FReepmail. Do not send profane, insulting, threatening, harassing or otherwise unwanted or abusive messages.

If someone says stop, stop.

Do not harass or pester the mods.

I have been too depressed over our bleak and hopeless future to post since Nov.14th. Like a big ship I drifted a little farther after the midterms sank in but then as the Dems did their recount demands and the dark future facing America descended on me more and more, I have tried to totally avoid all news and stop reading or posting on FR.

I used to dread seeing the FR notice of incoming replies to me on top.
As one of the nicest people here (one of many) I hate having every slightly incorrect memory slashed at as wrong, and every tiny variation from someone’s beliefs trashed and attacked.

Anyone who wants to waste some time can look at the posts I made and how considerate and polite I always was. And hateful of the leftist news media and Dems who are mocking God and forcing us to lose our American way of life and freedoms.

I’m glad I broke my vow today and was able to read your post Mr.Robinson.

If you don't like the subject or topic of the thread to the point you become abusive or trollish, stay off it.

That needs to be repeated. My major complaint about this site, which I have been a member of for almost 20 years, is that there are specific topics that are posted by fans of the the topic listed but are inevitably crashed by people who have nothing to say except "is that blowhard still on", or "I stopped listing to him.....", or that TV series sucks, I stopped watching......."

Comments such as that add nothing to the thread but to generate arguments and destroy the friendly banter from those who follow it.

On many occasions I have attempted to file an ABUSE but your mods have let the disruptive comments stand.

Years ago the "Thread Hijackers" used to be dealt with but over time, they have been allowed to take control.

So the ball is in your court Jim, since you recognize that there is a legitimate problem, maybe it's about time you assign some mods who want to prevent the above crap from happening anymore and start taking appropriate action and deleting the inflammatory comments.......

One of the problems mods face is complaints that claim a post is being “inflammatory” is in the eye of the beholder. Jim rob is not saying don’t debate or call out nonsense, he is saying do so without being abusive, as he defined it. His requests are perfectly acceptable and reasonable to promote a site for discussion and even disagreement. It needn’t degenerate into a mud fest, cyber bullying, cyberstalking and the like.

Common sense goes along ways.
