Gorka: John F. Kennedy wouldn't be allowed in Democratic Party

Former White House aide Sebastian Gorka took aim at Rep.-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) and progressive members of the Democratic Party in a new interview, asserting that former President Kennedy would not be welcome in the modern-day incarnation of his party.

In an interview airing Sunday on AM 970 in New York, Gorka tells "The Answer" host John Catsimatidis that a "hardcore, pro-nationalist" such as Kennedy would be unwelcome in the party.

ADVERTISEMENT "Today, a hardcore, pro-nationalist politician like John F. Kennedy would not be allowed in the Democrat party. That’s how bad it is," Gorka says, adding: “The lunatics are taking over the asylum ... Bill Clinton and his ilk would at least rein in the loonies."

"When you’ve got Kamala Harris comparing [the Department of Homeland Security] and [Immigration and Customs Enforcement] to the [Ku Klux Klan] ... When you’ve got Ocasio-Cortez, who’s publicly calling for a socialist revolution ... you understand that the Democrat party has been taken over by radicals," Gorka adds in the interview.

Kennedy was frequently attacked during his 1960 campaign for president by Republicans for policies called socialist at the time, including a plan for government grants for students to attend medical schools and federal funding for programs aimed at helping the poor.

Ocasio-Cortez, a member of the Democratic Socialists of America, won election to Congress last week after defeating incumbent Rep. Joseph Crowley (D-N.Y.) in her district's primary election earlier this year by double-digits.

Earlier this week, the congresswoman-elect joined protesters in House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi's (D-Calif.) office to demand the formation of a congressional committee on climate change.

Kennedy donated to Nixon's congressional campaign against fellow Democrat Helen Gahagan Douglas because he thought she was a Communist sympathizer. I can't imagine any scenario under which the JFK of 1950 or 1960 would have been allowed in today' Democratic Party.

But considering the path Ted Kennedy went down, I expect JFK's views would have similarly "evolved".

Kennedy would have been a good Democrat and gone along with the current agenda. Being a Democrat back in the 50s and 60s isn’t the same as being a Democrat today.

Amen, brother!

As you stated: “Freedom moves people”, I would add that restricting freedom moves people as well (in the opposite direction).

Most of what you say is a gross exaggeration, and the rest is simply not true.

Where are you getting your information - Toni Van Pelt?

I beg to differ. JFK had the worst civil rights record of just about any president. Johnson, who had been in the KKK was no better. They’d be right at home.

His famous inaugural quote ‘ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country” would alone disqualify him from the Democrat “gimme stuff” Party

We constantly hear about moderate democrats. That the crazies have taken over the democrat party at the top. Yet democrat voters constantly vote for crazies. The only conclusion patriots can come to is the democrat party is is not crazy, they are socialist/communist. While an objective review of history clearly shows socialism/communism to be repressive, totalitarian, and murderous in nature the democrats still support and impose the evil upon us using every method available to them. From brainwashing kindergartners to the corruption of the election process itself. Based upon the evidence the only conclusion one can come to is the democrats intend to destroy the Republic and implement a dictatorial marxist regime in its place. The democrats are now and have been in revolt against the constitution of the United States. And this includes the federal court system. It is way past time to take the kit gloves off, call a spade a spade, and take the action required to protect the Constitution of the United States.

Which he would do!

RFK once worked for Roy Cohn (of Joe McCarthy fame!) now he’s a liberal icon! Though amongst the millennials I think it’s RFK who?

Not only that, he was a tax cutter.

Ella Grasso, Tip O’Neil, Scoop Jackson and Robert Kennedy would not be allowed either.

John F. Kennedy would never be allowed in my living room.

That man created public unions, allowed George Soros to become a citizen, began the Viet Nam conflict, bungled the Bay of Pigs, took the Oval Office via voter fraud, plagiarized his most famous lines, and set a standard for lasciviousness that literally inspired Bill Clinton, who shook his hand as a teen.

I am tired of desperate conservatives praising him.

Agree. I am sick to DEATH of the "conservative JFK" propaganda from our side. OHHH HE SUPPORTED TAX CUTS!! OHHH HE GAVE A SPEECH BLASTING COMMUNISM!! blah blah blah. Guess what? The same is true of Barack Obama. Thank God he wasn't assassinated or a bunch of useful idiots on our side would be co-opting him now and promoting the 'heroic Obama was gonna save America before the deep state killed him' myth.

Really. And the only reason for the tax cuts is because they were so effing high from FDR onwards (outright theft) that the law of diminishing returns was in full bloom. It’s remarkable the country wasn’t in a perpetual Depression for 35 years straight with such tax policies.

Yeah “he” (it passed after his death so it was actually LBJ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Conservative Hero LBJ?!!?!?!?!?) lowered taxes from 90-something GD percent to 70%. What a hero!!!!!!!!!!!!

The democrats friggin worship him and his scum family. As I said before if had lived so long he’d have been in wheelchair giving a Pro-Bama speech at the 2008 DNC.

If he were still alive today, in a “Captain Pike” chair he’d be using his one movable finger to tweet against Trump, and the rest of the time he’d be Hugh Hefnering with his fangirl groupies, which sure as hell wouldn’t include any Republicans.

Claiming someone from the other side would be on ours now is useful propaganda, which I assume the reason why it continues but JFK (and friggin commie MLK) were libs, sorry.

Virtually every democrat from the past (most of whom sucked hard even for the times they lived in) would have to “move left” on certain issues to fit in today. But make no mistake, most of them would without a thought. Look at how many have flip flopped on gay marriage and abortion. Democrats don’t have principles.

Where Demonrats and RINOs are concerned, it’s always about power. Always.

If he hadn’t been assassinated, JFK probably would’ve died from syphilis or some other advanced STD or drug overdose. I can’t imagine him living to 101 (hard to believe he’d be that old). It was weird when I was up in MA back during Election season 1994 as we (folks & I) took the ferry from High Anus Port to Nantucket and passed right by the Kennedy Compound. It was close enough to spy the living room windows where a 104-year old Rose might’ve been sitting (no, didn’t see her). 2 months later, she died.

An aside, from a NYtimes article on “good looking” candidates

https://www.nytimes.com/2018/11/20/opinion/politics-isnt-pretty-but-politicians-are.html?smid=tw-nytopinion&smtyp=cur

“At a Beto O’Rourke rally near Dallas shortly before the midterms, Sonia Qutob, 41, turned to her friend and asked what was clearly the most pressing question about the candidate.

“Do you think,” she said, “that he needs a second wife?”

O’Rourke seems to me plenty happy with the first. But a fangirl can dream. And I got the sense that many fangirls and no small number of fanboys did precisely that. At the rally immediately preceding the one where Qutob swooned, dozens of them mobbed O’Rourke and clamored for selfies. The passions that animated them were clearly more than political.”

Muzzie Beta Boy fangirls want polygamy. Repeal the 19th?
