McConnell to Dems over Kavanaugh vote: ‘I hope you learned your lesson’
The National Sentinel ^ | October 06, 2018 | National Sentinel

(National Sentinel) Game, Set, Match: The Democrats showed their true colors — again — over the past two weeks by debasing the judicial confirmation process with gutter accusations of sexual misconduct by non-credible accusers.

It was the Left’s latest effort at destroying yet another institution — another pillar of government — by turning the process into a nightmare few people will want to subject themselves to in the future.

Nevertheless, thanks to the insanity, Republicans had a good week, as noted by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky.

In an interview with Fox News‘ Laura Ingraham Friday night after the full Senate voted to advance Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court nomination to a confirmation vote on Saturday, McConnell stuck it to Democrats and gave them some counsel they will very likely ignore:

Mitch McConnell: “I think we reaffirmed that in this country you’re presumed innocent. Presumption is in favor of innocence. We also learned that you should not allow mobs to intimidate you. I think it unified us… Made us excited for the November election. It was good for the American people to see that these people were stood up to and didn’t get away with it. They did not win. That’s the most important thing…

This is a paragraph of content.

Laura Ingraham: How radical has the Democratic Party of today become?

Mitch McConnell: It’s a pretty wild bunch. I mean it’s pretty clear they were willing to do anything, say anything to try to win. No boundaries.

Laura Ingraham: You still have close friends in the Democratic caucus after all of this or emotions pretty raw?

“It was the Left’s latest effort at destroying yet another institution — another pillar of government — by turning the process into a nightmare few people will want to subject themselves to in the future. “

This was their intention all along. It is a warning to ANYONE who even appears to overturn 60 years of judicial activism that you will be lied about and slandered. The Rats would like nothing better than for good people to stay out of it and let evil win.

It’s hard to watch people panic. I wanted to a couple of times, I’ll admit, but it’s too exhausting. I prayed. I read and learned some facts about Ford and her entourage of leftist liars. With social media, even when constrained by its programmed algorithms, the facts emerge and the truth comes out.

Good job on your prediction :)

“With all due respect Mr. McConnell; The only way for them to learn any lesson is for you to expose how they did it and then throw them in prison. That is the only thing that they fear”.

Exactly right! The absolute worst thing would be to let them get away with what they have done.

We have another round coming and NOW is the time to send a strong message. Appeasement is a losing strategy.

Yes, the senate will look very different in the near future. I think the Repubs will solidify their senate majority, but might lose the House. In any case the elderly, retiring and ill elected leaders are going to thin out both houses dramatically. DiFi looks like she needs a nursing home for sure. Grassley is the same age, but strong. Hirono will get re-elected, but likely unable to serve another term due to stage 4 cancer. Loved Collins’ speech, but it's clear she has Parkinson's at only 65. The dynamics is going to really be up in the air in 2019.

“Mitch is doing the job.”

Yes, he’s blocking the rest of Trump’s agenda and supporting the mueller coup & jeff sessions just like a demoncrat would. I guess we should be thankful that he’s getting judges seated on the bench. /s If the fate of the republic weren’t hanging in the balance, I would maybe cut these scumbag ahole repukies in the senate some slack. But I won’t.

------------------

A little disingenuous quoting one line out of my post, which was talking only about judicial nominations, and suggest I was a big McConnell fan, don't you think?

McConnell shepherded Obamacare repeal through the Senate until the 11th hour backstabbing by McStain.

But McStain is gone and soon Corker and Flake will be as well.

And the Senate would very likely be 52-48 instead of 51-49 if the president had listened to McConnell, re: Alabama.

There are 99 other senators and most of them were elected by voters. Changing Washington over night is not reality. But the President's agenda is making a big difference.

The biggest tax cut in recent history has been passed along with a whole lot of other legislation. The changes made in regulation has had a big effect already but yes, there is still a lot to do.

Republicans are in control of the house and senate. Trump’s agenda (drain the swamp, lockherup-restore the rule of law, wall, repeal Obolacare, deportations) should have sailed through(funded and passed) in the first year. The fact that it didn’t, tells you how farked the republican party is in D.C. McScrotum, ryan and every other rino and nevertrumper that voted for hillary should have been ran out of d.c. on a rail a year ago.

It is too bad treacherous UniParty Swamp creatures like you never learn a lesson, China Mac.

You let a man and his family be tormented for favorable optics and fund-raising.

You and Grassley could have stopped this at its illicit start, but that is not the COP [Controlled Opposition Party] way.

The lesion the democrats learned was that their previous behavior encouraged the republicans to select a moderate conservative, and their behavior this time will encourage the republicans to select a moderate/liberal next time.

This has been a fiasco within a fiasco within a fiasco.

Do you pay attention to anything? He would have absolutely been there to vote if it would have changed the outcome. The preparations were made. After it turned out it would not change the outcome is when those plans were dropped. Stop spreading false information.

Your ridiculous and perverted predictions didn’t come true and now you complain in disgust that they didn’t come true with more ridiculous and perverse comments. Literally upset that Kavanaugh was confirmed because your comments attacking Republicans were false. The acid rain cloud on a sunny day.
