Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh on Monday defended himself against the sexual assault allegations roiling his nomination by saying he was a virgin through high school and college.
"We’re talking about an allegation of sexual assault," Kavanaugh said in a clip released from his interview on Fox News Channel's "The Story with Martha MacCallum."
"I’ve never sexually assaulted anyone," Kavanaugh said. "I did not have sexual intercourse or anything close to sexual intercourse in high school or for many years thereafter ... The girls from the schools I went to, and I, were friends."
"Through all these years that were in question, you were a virgin?" Fox News host Martha MacCallum asked.
"That’s correct," Kavanaugh replied, adding that he did not have sex until "many years after" college.
Neither of the two accusations regarding Kavanaugh involve sexual intercourse. Christine Blasey Ford is alleging Kavanaugh held her down and groped her over her clothes during a high school party in 1982, and Deborah Ramirez claims he exposed himself without her consent during a gathering at Yale University a few years later.
Fox News released clips from the interview throughout the evening on Monday.
At another point in the interview, Kavanaugh vowed he is "not going anywhere" despite the allegations.
"I’m not going to let false accusations drive us out of this process," he said, sitting beside his wife as she nodded.
Kavanaugh during the interview denied attending the party in Ford's account.
"[I am] not questioning and have not questioned that perhaps Dr. Ford at some point in her life was sexually assaulted by someone at some place but what I know is I’ve never sexually assaulted anyone," he said.
Ford has stated that she is sure Kavanaugh was the man who allegedly assaulted her in an episode that she says has caused her decades of emotional trauma.
The full interview is scheduled to air at 7 p.m. EST.

That is NOT what he said! The question was whether he was a virgin “during the times in question,” which would mean high school and his freshman year in college. He said he was a virgin until “many years later.” Many can be two years, in which case he’d be a junior in college, and only 20 or 21 years old.
I agree. The minute the Republicans on the Committee were intimidated by Feinstein pulling that spurious letter out of the hat last minute (and only done because they couldn’t lay a glove on Kavanaugh’s intellect, love of the law and love of the Constitution), they lost all credibility with me—an independent female voter. Nuts to the #metooers. Not all women are emotional political pawns. All hail Barbara Jordan! The Democrats have demeaned Kavanaugh. They have demeaned the rule of law (always have), and they grow bolder in demeaning the Constitution, our lifeblood. Some of us believe in the need to keep the Supreme Court unweaponized. The Executive Branch and the Legislative Branch are political animals. Let the politicians have them; but, the Judicial Branch is not of the same ilk. Ideology was never meant to be its middle name. Lady Justice wears a blindfold for a reason. Man up!!

Leftist, talk show, so called comedians, are going to have a field day with this. The fact that they will make obscene, ridiculing jokes about it, may wake up a few people, though.
What's interesting here is that this Fox News interview may be the very last time we hear any questions on this subject -- because I'm pretty sure the Democrats on the Judiciary Committee aren't going to go near any questions like this.
What he's ultimately doing is telling the Dems that "your're full of cr**" trying to set me up.
The guy has guts and so does his wife.

It’s no shame in being a virgin through high school. After seeing my friend get forced into a shotgun wedding after getting his girlfriend pregnant and there really not being a lot of quality girls around anyway, I waited.

Basically, I think he tossed down the gauntlet to Collins and Flake... well, maybe a few others. His admittance and his obvious honesty is irrefutable to anyone who cares to even be partially fair.
Right now the dems are crapping down both legs... they will not stop, but they are now aware that they picked the wrong guy for this assault, not that they had a choice.
Even the media can’t ignore this.
Right now, I guess the last thing they want is an open hearing. Get Kavanaugh in front of the committee with his story and the dems will be thoroughly embarrassed. They could lose votes over this one

That this question was even asked is just another head-shaking example of the infantile irresponsibility of the media. It’s none of anybody’s damn business, and there’s no plausible axis of investigation under which that would be a relevant point of data.
I presume no questions were asked about him filing defamation suits in response, or hiring counsel to that end?

It wasn’t bad at all..I mean honestly what more can the guy say he said he didn’t do it..what next, he has to stand on his head and say he didn’t do it..all he can say is I deserve my day in court to prove my innocence, that’s pretty much it
