Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh on Monday defended himself against the sexual assault allegations roiling his nomination by saying he was a virgin through high school and college.
"We’re talking about an allegation of sexual assault," Kavanaugh said in a clip released from his interview on Fox News Channel's "The Story with Martha MacCallum."
"I’ve never sexually assaulted anyone," Kavanaugh said. "I did not have sexual intercourse or anything close to sexual intercourse in high school or for many years thereafter ... The girls from the schools I went to, and I, were friends."
"Through all these years that were in question, you were a virgin?" Fox News host Martha MacCallum asked.
"That’s correct," Kavanaugh replied, adding that he did not have sex until "many years after" college.
Neither of the two accusations regarding Kavanaugh involve sexual intercourse. Christine Blasey Ford is alleging Kavanaugh held her down and groped her over her clothes during a high school party in 1982, and Deborah Ramirez claims he exposed himself without her consent during a gathering at Yale University a few years later.
Fox News released clips from the interview throughout the evening on Monday.
At another point in the interview, Kavanaugh vowed he is "not going anywhere" despite the allegations.
"I’m not going to let false accusations drive us out of this process," he said, sitting beside his wife as she nodded.
Kavanaugh during the interview denied attending the party in Ford's account.
"[I am] not questioning and have not questioned that perhaps Dr. Ford at some point in her life was sexually assaulted by someone at some place but what I know is I’ve never sexually assaulted anyone," he said.
Ford has stated that she is sure Kavanaugh was the man who allegedly assaulted her in an episode that she says has caused her decades of emotional trauma.
The full interview is scheduled to air at 7 p.m. EST.

My niece and her husband both were virgins when they married. She was 20 and her husband was 21 years old. They were raised Christian and to them it was where they wanted to be before marriage. They have been happily married for 12 years and have 3 adorable children.
My niece was homeschooled and was never put in a position of pressure from predatory males. Her husband said he was put upon by aggressive females at the public school he attended. It was difficult to resist, but he decided not to take advantage because he was a Christian and knew that these girls were looked on as trophy meat by their classmates. He wound up befriending a few of them. Some thought he was gay. He thought that was funny and sad at the same time.
A few years after my niece and he were married they ran into a female friend of his from high school at a social function. She took my niece aside and said my niece’s husband was the best guy she had ever known. It brought tears to my niece’s eyes and mine later when I heard the story.
Damn, who the hell would want THAT?

Last night when they saw that he had proof in the form of planners from 1982, the left mocked him for being some kind of nerd loser. I’m sure they’ll do the same with this. I guess for liberals, the idea that a guy could just be decent is so hard to fathom (after all Weinstein was a rock star until this summer) - that this is their only response.

Wordless. Almost. I knew several very nice looking young men who were virgins at least until graduation. They were interested in getting into a good college and had plans for a good life. Neither were they homosexuals. From discussions, it was very apparent they liked girls. LOL When boys and girls have parents who are talking with them openly about life, sex and it’s outcomes, and of a future, you’d be surprised how much control both young men and women can have!
Ya know. I’m not at all sure he is ashamed to admit it. He made a choice and I expect he put a lot of thought into it.
I was impressed with the interview. And I feel badly for both of them and their family. I believe him and if Ford watched the interview she is going to wrangle out of it. “Oh I watched him on Tv and it just upset me I can’t go through with this”.

We need more of those admissions from the men of this nation as in role models. I am substitute teaching with some of the kids acting like they are in heat! I can imagine the afterschool non-curricular activities. In one school the teen pregnancy rate has been exceptionally high.
Thank you for your sons’ service to our nation and for your good upbringing of them.
Their testimonies are wonderful witnesses to their Christian faith.
And I still want to know WHY it's "embarrassing" for a man to have been a virgin in high school. Hormones may rage, but that doesn't mean that kids should/it's okay for kids to have sex!

35-40 years ago, in a Catholic school, the numbers would be pretty high.
I have said this repeatedly over the last few days here on FR, and I have been ttold I was naive.
