There needs to be an investigation alright! Into who is involved in this blatent attempt to undermine and overthrow the democratically elected government. This is a coup and it needs to be addressed as one and Trump needs to demand Sessions wake up and start immediate proceedings to find out who all is behind this coup. Soros no doubt, but I am sure many democrat names and even some traitorous republicans as well.

I suspect you are right. They can only pull this stunt so many times so they let one past. They did try to block him.. No matter who Trump sends, they will do this, a black woman? No problem, they will find some guy that claims she did something to them in jr high...

This really sucks. I read through most of the New Yorker article, and I’m afraid he’s got a real problem here. Not because I necessarily believe the woman - she is probably lying. But here are the problems, and why Hirono and that other idiot Senator with the blonde hair will now have a field day:
1- a penis was out of pants
2- she has some (weak) corroboration
Ford’s story has been pretty much decimated. This, unfortunately, probably has legs. Why? Because social media will keep this trending - and they intend to sway the hearts and minds of women who will put pressure on Murkowski, Flake, and Collins.
You may think she and her story are bought and paid for - but I’m afraid this may actually end his chances of being on the Supreme Court. Lest you think that’s something I want, check my recent posts - I think Ford is clearly lying, and wish they would have scheduled the vote for Monday.
My husband (lawyer) thinks this is what they wanted the delay for. They never intended to use Ford’s pathetic story to tank him - they wanted this to come out, and needed more time.

I’m trying not to be hyperbolic, but I think we’re heading for CW II. There is no sanity at all on the left anymore. No loyal opposition. No honor. No decency. No ethics. No boundaries. This is a preclude of things to come.
The US Constitution gives sole authority to US Senate to confirm or reject nominee sent by the president.
The FBI or the DOJ or the local prosecutors have NO CONSTITUTIONAL AUTHORITY to stop the process of confirmation of a justice to SCOTUS.
All it takes is a spine in working order by the republican senators. And that is the fly in the ointment. They can not stand up to the democrats. They do not have the temperament or background of Donald J Trump.
There is not enough republicans left who will vote Yes.
They have likely successfully killed his nomination.
The FBI will also reply the same way they did with Ford. Not our department. Check with local police.

I fear you are correct. There is no reasoning with the left. They will lie, cheat and protest their way to what they want.
