The dean of Yale Law School on Thursday responded to reports that a prominent professor at the school had advised students seeking judicial clerkships with Brett Kavanaugh on their physical looks, saying the reported allegations of faculty misconduct are "of enormous concern" and calling on anyone affected to come forward. According to reports in The Guardian, the Huffington Post and Above the Law, Amy Chua, a professor at the law school, would advise students on their physical appearance if they wanted to seek a clerkship for Kavanaugh. Specifically, Chua would help potential applicants to have a "model-like" appearance.

There are a couple reports about this but the people who knew Kavanaugh all said his only requirement is excellence.

Amy Chewonthis? I wouldn’t want any skags working for me either.
Why do I think students were told to have a “model” appearance as in dressing and showing the professionalism required of the position. That is not the same as “model like” as in super skinny young women wearing extreme fashion while parading on a raised walkway.
Could it be that these lies are expensive and risky to set up? That they're only spoon feeding them out as needed to try to block/delay his confirmation?
Every one of these attempted smears against the judge doesn't harm my impression of him as a fine candidate for SCOTUS...they only convince me of the slimy, sleazy, waste of human flesh nature of the people promoting these lies.

When my students both male and female apply for professional positions in any field, I tell them to clean up anything on Facebook, put a serious recording on their answering machines, remove nose and tongue rings, and dress professionally.

In it, she wrote that she'd helped place 10 Yale Law School students — eight of them women — as clerks with Kavanaugh, including her own daughter, whose clerkship had been set to begin in August. "I can't think of a better judge for my own daughter's clerkship," she wrote.
The White House had no immediate comment on the Yale dean's letter.
In an emailed statement to NBC News, Chua said: "For the more than 10 years I've known him, Judge Kavanaugh’s first and only litmus test in hiring has been excellence. He hires only the most qualified clerks, and they have been diverse as well as exceptionally talented and capable.
"There is good reason so many of them have gone on to Supreme Court clerkships; he only hires those who are extraordinarily qualified. As I wrote in the Wall Street Journal, he has also been an exceptional mentor to his female clerks and a champion of their careers. Among my proudest moments as a parent was the day I learned our daughter would join those ranks."
Brett Kavanaugh wanted nothing.
Amy Chua wanted something.
She probably figured out on her own what judges valued in clerks.

Asians are smart and industrious that’s their crime. Clerking for a federal judge is a serious position and you have to dress professionally. The left are such evil people.
Ditch needs to jam the vote through to get SCOTUS fully staffed for the upcoming season.

Kavanaugh should have been required to hire female clerks who looked like Ruth Buzzi Ginsberg, the Wide Latina, and Kagan the Tank? Why? To frighten Kavanaugh out of a week’s sleep every time he came around the corner and bumped into one of them?
