This was a BIG win in this district. The GOP didn’t field a candidate here in 2016. In 2014, a red wave year, the Rats held this seat by a 58-41 margin. In March, Conor Lamb won this by 5.
The GOP fielded a really good, pro-life and pro-second Amendment candidate and crushed the Rats here last night.

Was this a primary? The second part of title is “faces rematch with Mitchell in November”. What is the “flip” part of the title referring to? Does it refer to a D to R flip???

As I read it....it was a primary and the gop candidate had more votes than all other gop candidates and also had more votes than the rat got in the rat primary.
Maybe I read the article incorrectly but I don’t think it has “flipped” yet.
