Republican Tim O’Neal cracked the 4,000-vote threshold in Washington County’s 48th Legislative District, according to unofficial returns from the Washington County elections office, and declared victory.
O’Neal, a veteran of the Afghanistan War who earned a “V” for valor and a Bronze Star, advertised this in contrast to that of Mitchell, an attorney, whom he portrayed playing the video game “Call of Duty.”

Barbara miller, staff writer, opines:
“Neuman and State Rep. Pam Snyder, whose 50th Legislative District includes Centerville and East Bethlehem Township were the last remnants of a Washington County that was once predominantly blue. Now there’s only Snyder, who faces a challenge from Betsy Rohanna McClure.”
Barbara bemoans the Republican/Conservative red wave.
Maybe the Fake News Democrat media can stop crowing about the Blue Wave coming in November….nah.
THIS IS GREAT!
This was a BIG win in this district. The GOP didn’t field a candidate here in 2016. In 2014, a red wave year, the Rats held this seat by a 58-41 margin. In March, Conor Lamb won this by 5.
The GOP fielded a really good, pro-life and pro-second Amendment candidate and crushed the Rats here last night.

Was this a primary? The second part of title is “faces rematch with Mitchell in November”. What is the “flip” part of the title referring to? Does it refer to a D to R flip???

The dems crowing is a good thing. Just like the presidential election, if they are sure they will be winning the turn out will be smaller.

I thought O’Neal’s video game commercial was hilarious.
He portrayed Mitchell as a loser living in his mom’s basement, calling up to mother to bring him more food.
