Remember Paris? It was not even two years ago that the celebrated climate accords were signed defining two degrees of global warming as a must-meet target and rallying all the worlds nations to meet it and the returns are already dispiritingly grim.
This week, the International Energy Agency announced that carbon emissions grew 1.7 percent in 2017, after an ambiguous couple of years optimists hoped represented a leveling off, or peak; instead, were climbing again. Even before the new spike, not a single major industrial nation was on track to fulfill the commitments it made in the Paris treaty.

That must mean that the wealthy industrial countries in the West aren’t transferring enough of their wealth to the Third World countries to subsidize them. If we only would raise taxes by 50% and transfer the money to the Third World, the problem would be solved!!! (Oh, and shut down our industry too)
This is serious, folks, it's even worse than the mass starvation the world underwent in the 1980's that wiped out 90% of the world's population. You do remember that, don't you?
The papers math is speculative, of course...
Hmm...ya reckon?
...and there will surely be those who take issue with its methodology...
They're all Climate Deniers, man.
The saddest part of the Paris Accords (other than their fantasy about controlling climate) is that after all of their efforts, all of their wealth-sucking endeavors, the sum total of what they amount to is stemming the 2 degree tide for 10 years. And that is a rosy estimate.
They never intended to, in the first place. It was all for show, for the useful idiots back home to fawn over them.....................

I for one miss the Polar Ice caps and the bears named after them. I sigh every time I see a Coca Cola Christmas (Holiday?) commercial with those frolicking bears.
It weighs on my mind on my boat ride over what used to be the 35E to and from downtown Dallas.
Only when the glaciers cover Toronto or Mexico City turns into a desert will I start worrying about man-made “Climate Change”.

And to try to impose a new tax on the wealthy nations and shackles on the USA.
Agreed. These AGW types are so stuck-on-stupid. They fail to look at the sun and account for el Nino or volcanic activity for naturally occurring weather phenomena. Sometimes I wonder if any of these “weather scientists” got their degrees from a diploma mill.
They probably figured the rich Americans should pick up the bill or at least make up for the missed goals. If Hillary had fulfilled her fantasy, they probably would (like it or not).
Ping.
They look exactly as much a fantasy as when they were first agreed to. If anyone is just now realizing the fantasy, I’ll give congratulations on growing up (a little).
And, thanks to Trump, they have a bad guy to blame it on. Obama is no doubt happy that the US won’t do what is necessary to achieve his commitments - he’d be the most hated person in US history if the US did what he committed to. And Merkel can claim that Germany totally would have met their (technologically impossible) commitments except Trump dropped out of Paris. IF Trump is around too long, Germans may get tired of winning.
I’m sure the CO2 increase of 1.7% is just as valid as the temperature increases over the last ten years weren’t due to the fact the temperature sensors were placed in parking lots, next to airport runways, in the middle of big cities, etc etc.
Under heat lamps? LOL!
Everything they do contradicts everything. They want so much money from the US but hate capitalism. They want the US destroyed but want money from the US. Commies are crazy.
But but but, I thought the Yurps were going to deploy their awesome soft power and take over leadership of this issue once mean ole Donald Trump withdrew the US. What happened?
The one I remember is one that had a window a/c exhaust [post sensor installation] blowing on it for years.

The AGW types are not stupid. They fully understand the limits of their scientific predictions. They read about the butterfly effect and know the range of variables to track are 10 orders of magnitude higher than their computers can ever take them.
They are liars to the very depth of their souls. And I can’t wait to see Trump outsource these academic charlatans to Amazon or some other high tech company, so we can put these lightweights out of work.
