He’s a fool resign. It’s the only career he’s got left. He’ll never work in entertainment again and I doubt if he’s got that much money.

I think Conyers and Franken are resigning so when Roy Moore gets elected, it will have set the precident and the left will say he should resign too. Otherwise, why didn’t the Dems fight harder for Franken and Conyers.

We know their resignation was not because of “moral” grounds because Clinton is still viable in the party, and he’s much more of a “harasser” than either Conyers or Franken.

... and then set off for an equine-therapy sexual abuse counseling camp, like Weinstein, Spacey, and Weiner before them. That's my guess.

Agree. Then AFTER the Alabama election's over - AND after he's 'cured' he'll sneak back to town and keep his job...

He's a multi-millionaire from books, movies, etc. Don't expect he'll need to hold any yard sales.

Ty. For some reason I thought his election was 2020.

This explains why he might step down. If he is damaged and the election is a year away, the dems think they can get a fresh candidate to run with out the gropey baggage.

Well, it is only fitting, justice. He was elected fraudulently, so because he acted like a dip-s..., he is leaving in disgrace.

The difference is Franken has photos and an apology. Moore has none of this.

I suppose Franken could have gutted it out by calling all but one of his accusers liars. Wonder why he didn't think of that?

"Roy Moore will now be expected to quit too if he wins."

There's a difference. Conyers and Franken have admitted (or we've seen) they are sex predators. Roy Moore's accusers have not produced any evidence, and Moore has denied the decades-old accusations from known Demonicrats.

Look....what CRIME did he commit?

I am not going to dance on Al Franken's political grave.

Bill Clinton perjured himself. He should have resigned.

Al Franken was a handsy jerk. Sorry, but this is an issue for VOTERS of Minnesota...or, if need be, the Senate ethics committee....

I think it is shameful these Senators are turning on someone because of unproven accusations OR for non-criminal unappealing behavior.

“I think it is shameful these Senators are turning on someone because of unproven accusations OR for non-criminal unappealing behavior.”

The senators are doing this to set a precedent so they can invoke it when trying to oust PDJT. It’s simple.

Minisodans will just replace him with another horny flake.
They had a governor who pranced around in a feather boa.

I think he should stay and force the Senate to expel him. Get them on the record, then see who among them has a skeleton or two.

“It certainly fits in with the agenda of further feminizing the country.”

In our legal system, one sex is more equal than the other. The idea is to produce further division of our country by group which can only be resolved by government,

Betting it goes something like this: “We all make mistakes; I know I’ve made my share. I have apologized and asked for forgiveness and will continue to serve as Senator to the people of the great state of Minnesota.”
