Cord-cutting, or at least the speed at which people are ditching pay TV, is on track to be the biggest upset of the year. Theres finally a collection of cheap-ish streaming services widely available, and as youd imagine, people are jumping ship from cable as fast as humanly possible.

in just one year- with no changes- our bill has creeped up almost $70 dollars- every month it was higher- and it’s still going up-
The last cable customer is gonna have a huge bill....................
Thing is, you still need the internet for streaming. And guess where hi-speed internet comes from? I cut the cord 4 years ago, but I still pay $50/month for internet thru cable.
Directv used to be a good deal. Not so much any more. Since they merged with at&t it’s gotten even worse IMO.
I went back to the antenna over 10 years ago. Just can’t understand paying to watch commercials. It’s like paying to wear clothes that advertise a product.
Where else can you get a hundred channels of informercials?
Insurance next .... I don’t NEED nor WANT maternity care, etc.
After treating its customers like inferior species of primordial life forms for decades, they expect loyalty?
Great news. Love it when a plan comes together.
—tell me about it—have been three weeks trying to get my second receiver hooked up—even had a tech here for an hour who couldn’t get the job done—said it has gone completely downhill since ATT took over-—am headed to talk to Dish as soon as this is typed-—
It's a fair trade.
At least at this point it is.
I'm at $94 for internet and landline. My "rurality" limits my options.
I use Comcast, or they use me, whichever. Anyway, yesterday I cancelled my television service and just get the internet. I can use that to stream Amazon Prime, Netflix, and others.
Internet Service Provider prices are going to go up because no one will be using their content. Cutting the cord will be a Pyrrhic victory for many. Hopefully, competition will save us.

You remind me of me.
STAY AWAY FROM SATELLITE, TOO !
I would cut the cord in a min if I knew how to get Fox news any other way and the Golf channel, my husband’s love.
Anybody know how to get these without cable?
My most recent bill is $30 more than previous bills, with no premium service or pay-per-view.
I will be calling tonight to cut it even further.
My dealings with DirecTV used to be great. But since ATT took over, customer service seems to have been outsourced to Bangladesh. I hate it.
Landline here with 25mbit internet dsl.
Even countrywide long didtance at $62 a month.
TV is antenna.
