A student government official recently resigned from his post due to the inclusion of conservative students in a discussion on inclusive dialogue.
Lafayette Colleges Intercultural Affairs Chair Jovanté Anderson, one of five student officials who chose to resign before the student governments first meeting, announced his resignation via Facebook, saying it was was necessary to hold student government accountable for the ways it failed students of color.

A Knisley Gaffe; a gaffe that reveals the truth.
Judging people by the color of their skin not the content of their character, wasn’t that King’s dream?
That and five dollars will get him a latte at Starbucks...............
He’s going to college, someone is footing the bill for same, yet he remains, firmly, a fool.
Darn those white people.
We are probably footing the bill.
Bump
The 2 times I went there, it was much more simple. Make sure there were no cups lying on the ground by 7am and whether we should get 20 or 30 kegs. Seeing as I had 2 attempts, I was apparently thinking about the wrong things. I am still sure that diversity would not have been a priority.
His resignation letter is a seemingly endless string of PC jargon. This is what he mistakes for “thought.”
The Left Dictionary:
Inclusive-people who agree with us
Diversity-people who agree with us
and so on.
I’m of divided minds over stuff like this. One the one hand, it’s clearly insane and really dangerous, it comes from the same place as Mao’s Cultural Revolution, which killed (tens of?) millions. On the other hand, it deeply splits the left. The postmodern cultural Marxist is directly opposed to the vast majority of American progressives and liberals, even if most on have yet to fully realized it. This guy is even coming after “liberal identity politics”; he is not placated by the “empty rhetorics of represenatation and inclusion”. In other words, he rejects the idea that people of color are represented by someone who happens to be of a particular identity; unless they also profess allegiance to the cultural Marxist revolution, then they are useless.
It’s really breathtaking, this guy is basically openly hostile to anyone who doesn’t fully sign-on to his extreme cultural Marxist viewpoint, and there is at most what, 5% of the population who does? We just need to put cameras on these guys and let ‘em rip!
That blog is horrible.
Let’s try this. Avoid the clickbait.

In his resignation letter, Anderson revealed that he was overwhelmingly uncomfortable with the student governments complicity in a politics that has portrayed conservative students as marginalized on a campus where students of color, women, queer and trans people have actively become more politically organized.
Of particular concern to Anderson was the governing bodys inclusion of anonymous testimony from conservative students in an Ad Hoc Committee on Ensuring Inclusive Dialogues 2017 report, which contained testimony from conservatives who felt their voices were unwelcome at the predominantly left-wing institution.
While he noted that his concern was never necessarily about the formation of the Ad-Hoc Committee on Ensuring Inclusive Dialogue [emphasis in the original], he attacked the committees racial and gender makeup, even suggesting that its actions were on the spectrum of white supremacy.
Additionally, he accused the committee of selecting students of color who have been spoken of as not sufficiently engaged with communities of color on campus, urging his peers to push the boundaries of a liberal identity politics.
He goes on to add that emphasizing ideological identity is destructive and distracts from more important types of identity, declaring that conservative students are NOT marginalized, but simply de-centered on a campus that is struggling to rebound from its historic, problematic, and deeply conservative values.
Anderson then asks his readers to consider how dangerous and violent it is to equate the marginalization of students of color (or other groups) to conservative students who feel marginalized, attacking the problematic notion that student government should be apolitical or neutral.
Anderson concludes by noting that rather than participating in a student government that he believes is flawed, he will instead focus his efforts on working with liberal groups such as ABC, LACSA, Nia, the new Accountability and Transformation Board, etc, etc.
Again. Who on earth cares what some kid in college says or does? Honestly. It’s absurd.
Give it his participation trophy and let it move on to a safe space.
This stuff mainly leaves me sad for all the black kids just trying to get good grades and start a career where they actually add value instead of looking for a handout. Guilt by association with these kind of idiots is a pain in the ass.
I would have told them I’m staying.
You know those folks, like from Oregon, who move to your town for the atmosphere and then try to change everything so it’s more like Oregon? The types that want to take over the town council? Yeah. We need a lot tougher immigration laws. And we need a lot tougher rules on who qualifies for affirmative action college grants instead of handing them out to ‘people of color’ regardless of recent origin like it’s candy while ‘the other indigenous’, are harassed, persecuted, bullied and intimidated on our college campuses by tribalists who are more focused on colonization than integration.
