How long do we have?? My out look for the future...[vanity]

Thanks for allowing me to share my thoughts for a minute...

I've been watching the signs for decades. Piecing together cause and effect. Watching and being vigilant to keep my family safe from what I know is coming.

I've been saying for years now, mark my words, the sign to watch for, is when you see armed groups actively guarding communities, then the social breakdown will spiral rapidly out of control. The country as a whole, will end up being like Chicago.

To clarify, the groups guarding the communities aren't the problem, it's the reasons they feel it's necessary to do so that's the problem.

Then communities will start banning together for security.

Don't get caught unprepared.

All it takes is a group of those antifa nuts to shut down a highway and the stores will run out of food in a single day.

This situation with the left in this country will only get worse. Is it still theoretical when you see it playing out right in front of our faces? It's happening people.

Personally, I have a food storage and I have a really huge garden. I bought 300 additional quart jars for canning this year. We add to our storage every time we get groceries. So yes, I truly believe this is going to happen and it's not just words to me.

How much time do we have before the leftist force this reality on us?

So, if you haven't done so, PLEASE take a moment to commit to work on getting prepared. Just a little at a time is all it takes, an extra can of something you like to eat every time you go to the store. Put in a closet if that's all the space you have. I'm not kidding.

If you are prepared for the worst, good for you! Now help your neighbor get prepared. Tell other Freepers what you've done!

Be Calm...Prep On!

Just remember it was way worse in the 60’s and early 70’s.....regular bombings from a variety of liberal groups, shootings and even bank robberies......(to make a political statement and self fund)

Democratic Socialists do... what Democratic Socialist do....become violent when they aren’t in power....

As Toynbee said about the Roman, and other, Empires - “there’s a lot of ruin in a great nation.”

Decline and collapse doesn’t just happen in a weekend. Economics, life and society change over many decades and centuries. Humanity won’t notice it day-to-day.

I am not sure there are enough zealots on either side to actually come to a wide spread civil disruption. Think about it, who feels strongly enough about their party to seriously give up their lives, liberty and posterity?

The Republicans are practically useless. The Dems are completely useless.

I am not about to give me life for either of those two groups, neither of which (as a whole) gives a sh!t about me or my family.

Well with Nuclear N.Korea soon to have their finger on the button....and considering the realignment of nations happening now.....the stage is being set for that day.

Prepping will take one for a time but if one advertises they’re a prepper you will last far less than than those who keep it quiet. In survival mode it will be every an for himself.....

And their edged lawns?

Most of my neighbors all moved to our area for the very reasons I stated in the OP. They have really nice lawns, but they also have chickens. We live in farm country. And most of them are starting to attempt gardening most for the first time.

I started with the garden because that's a real passion of mine. I hope to have chickens by next year. :)

Food is not the critical commodity, water is. Here is Texas, where I choose to live, I would need a deep well to have my own source of water. Then, I would need electricity to power the pump to get the water out.

I have months of food available, but only weeks of water. Combined with summer heat with no electricity limited rain, that is the issue for us.

Yes and in 1968 we had local hunters take up positions on the hill to our community when the riots went on downtown.

Well everyone knows know where to go for food when the crap hits the fan. Not exactly a good idea to advertise.

Well, if you would have told me ten years ago we'd be here this fast, I don't know that I would have agreed with your assessment.

We were in an exponential phase.

We are now in a spiraling phase and that's a black hole ahead.

If you’ve got wind you can get that well water up. The typical FReeper disdain for anything remotely “green” due to the admittedly obnoxious politics associated with the whole thing is understandable but very short-sighted. Windmills as well pumps have a very long and practical history. Not pie in the sky in the least.

It will be just like the Balkans in Kosovo where snipers take out civilians and other snipers. A total break down in society is coming. No one will know who is friend or foe.
