Former Vice President Joe Biden said Friday that he knew a month before the 2016 election that Hillary Clinton would lose key battleground states.
Biden made the comment during a closed-door appearance with Mitt Romney at the annual Romney-hosted E2 Summit, reports Politico.
Based on his assessment of campaigning in those key battleground states, he said, he knew a month before the election that Clinton would lose them.
Biden also stepped on Hillary just last month, saying he never thought she was a great candidate during a conference in Las Vegas.

People here underestimate Biden tremendously.
He would have won handily in 2016.
Note: this topic is from . Thanks Olog-hai.
Maybe he had a rare moment of clarity about himself before the fog settled back in.
Mostly, Hillary Clinton was the party favorite. She was also Obama's favorite. She was going to do what it took to win.
Biden wouldn't have had the votes to get the nomination. Look at his performance in the early primaries this year. He was doing terribly until Jim Clyburn rallied the African-American vote for him, and that wouldn't have happened in 2016.
Hillary Clinton had the votes of Democrat women, and the party establishment didn't want Bernie Sanders to win, so they rallied behind front-runner Clinton in 2016 as they rallied behind the unimpressive Biden in 2020.
Add to that Beau's death and you can see why he didn't run. Fear of Hunter's corruption being revealed may have had something to do with it, but if fear didn't stop Joe from running this time, would it really have been a major factor last time?
“A steam-powered yoyo probably wouldnt have caught on, anyhow.”
You should pitch your idea to the Department of Defense.
Have to laugh at some of the replies in this old thread; the never-Trump types on FR are still repeating the same spiel as back then.
Why the HELL is Mitt (R)Money meeting with Biden????
