On Saturday, four Democratic Senators sent a letter addressed jointly to Loretta Lynch and James Comey, on the newly-discovered Hillary Clinton emails. They recited Democratic Party talking points and demanded fast action from the agencies. I haven’t seen the actual letter, but this description seems quite complete:

It is interesting that DOJ and the FBI presented a united front, and that the letter came from DOJ. It doesn’t respond to the Senators’ various demands, doesn’t comment on their talking points, and makes no promise as to when review of the new emails will be completed. Could it possibly be prior to the election? Perhaps, but no such assurance is being given at this point. Senators Leahy et al. didn’t get much for their effort.

I think DOJ is taking over the “investigation”. If they come out in a few days and proclaim “nothing new here”, I wonder how the FBI will take it.

Yep. The obvious clue is Podesta’s friend was put in charge of the DOJ work. Surprise, Surprise. It’s Lynch’s version of Comey tapping McCabe to lead the FBI’s original investigation.

I think you are right. I think the big problem Hillary has is that the computer was looked at by new York child crimes unit and the Clintons and Obama do not have an inside man cooperating with them. they have not a clue what was seen and not reported up the chain of command. I am guessing that if Obama does nothing to obstruct there is nothing problematic for him. Obama has never been her friend the only reason he has covered for her is that he is in some way compromised by Hillary and bills crimes.
I am hoping they don't get away with it, and I don't think they will, but I really expect them to try. Could get ugly.

Every accusation the Rats have been making over the last couple of days have been thoroughly focus-group tested to see which one(s) will minimize the electoral damage.It’s also possible (but unlikely,IMO) that iLLary has genuine fears of criminal prosecution so at least some of those accusation might constitute a form of jury tampering.
