Exactly as I was saying in the thread where people were lobbying for him. He's a democrat for a reason. He might be great on national security, but we don't know his positions on other issues. Now we know his position on abortion, and just as I suspected, he's not pro-life. Do we want a Democrat who supports abortion a heartbeat away from the Presidency?

Shouldn’t babies also have that same right to choose whether they want to live or die?

Gen. Michael Flynn on abortion: "Woman have to be able to choose."Sure - like slave-holders. "Personally I don't believe in slavery, but you should have the right to choose whether to have slaves or not".

Which inevitably gets morphed into “women have to have it made easy for them to do this.”
A trip to Canada or Mexico would do it, even if the USA banned its practice.
Why are we hating our children so here. I posit that it is part of a bigger problem, a disdain for intergenerational family love. Above the surface are the abortions, which we can easily see. Below the surface are the cold, hostile relationships, which are not so easy to see.

Well, forget him, then. Let him be a military advisor.
NOT VP.

Malachi 4:6 (last verse in Old Testament)
And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse. (KJV)
I’m not a language expert and don’t know whether mothers is also technically implied here, but that is how the NIV renders it (parents). And that seems to makes sense. Both parents have to be on board for there to be sane families, sane child upbringing. As it is, literal fathers today are very distant, and mothers only sporadically involved.
I do not think we will “smite” the abortion problem without “smiting” this problem in which it is embedded. And this is a quintessentially evangelistic issue. The old, old story of Jesus and His love.

Now we know his position on abortion, and just as I suspected, he's not pro-life. Donald Trump doesn't care one way or the other about abortion. I doubt he'll give the issue any weight whatsoever in regards to choosing his running mate.

Actually, Donald did at least flirt with the idea of a ban... asking what would happen to the women if it were banned. Being a dealer has some virtues - it means not taking the option off the table.

“Donald Trump doesn't care one way or the other about abortion. I doubt he'll give the issue any weight whatsoever in regards to choosing his running mate.”
Trump may not care about abortion per se, but he cares about winning, and he seems to have got the message that he needs pro-life voters to win this election. I doubt he'll choose a pro-choice running mate.

Agree — To limit his options like that does not sound like Donald’s style to me. He may seem the enfant terrible sometimes, but again sometimes it takes a “child” to say and ask the things that society has been paralyzed into being mute about.
