Ryan: Whether to support Trump or not is up to delegates
Washington Examiner ^ | June 19, 2016 | John Siciliano

Posted on 06/19/2016 12:53:39 PM PDT by Pinkbell

House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., says he has no influence over Republican convention delegates' decisions on whether to change their minds about supporting Donald Trump.

Ryan, who endorsed Trump earlier this month, is the convention's chairman. But he told NBC's "Meet the Press" host Chuck Todd, "It is not my job to tell delegates to do, what not to do, or to weigh in on things like that. They write the rules. They make their decisions."

Asked for his opinion on the matter, Ryan said, "My opinion is not relevant here."

Trump reaffirmed Sunday that he can win the presidency whether the Republican Party gets behind his candidacy or not.

Maybe I'm not fully understanding the hatred toward Ryan here on this thread...

What he said wasn't anti-Trump, incorrect or wrong...

House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., says he has no influence over Republican convention delegates' decisions on whether to change their minds about supporting Donald Trump.

What's he supposed to say: I will kick out any delegate not voting for Trump ?

Ryan, who endorsed Trump earlier this month, is the convention's chairman. But he told NBC's "Meet the Press" host Chuck Todd, "It is not my job to tell delegates to do, what not to do, or to weigh in on things like that. They write the rules. They make their decisions."

Is that a lie?

“I don’t believe they will, but if they do, I will write in Trump”

Agreed. it’s all leftist fantasy and pot-stirring.

Maybe if Ryan keeps acting the way he does, the voters will vote Nehlen. The only thing I can think of is unfortunately, Ryan might get some “boost” if he chairs the convention and is prominently seen on TV for multiple nights. Trump should strip him of chair of the convention. I know why Trump isn’t doing it. He’s afraid it will make things worse, and he knows if he gets elected and Ryan is there, he’ll have to work with the RINO. He’s trying to play nice. It’s not working. Ryan won’t play along.

I have never known Boehner to undermine the party to the extent Ryan has. Boehner had loyalty to the GOP.Ryan’s loyalty is to Mrs. Clinton.

Wow. Why does the GOP have a democrat as their convention chair? Oh....that’s right, they’re just democRat-lite. Ain’t “choice” a wonderful thing?

Anyone who votes for Ryan should be banned from every Real Conservative Website there is.

He’s a piece of ####. So is Romney. And this Kristol guy I dont know but I already ####ing hate him from what i’ve read the past few weeks.

But the most important thing right now is getting “assault” weapons off the street.

Because 10 guys with glocks couldn’t do the same damage.

This broke on Fox Business on June 14, 2016. Had this under Breaking and Front Page News, but it was taken down by the Ad. Mod. It is a very upsetting interview. This interview needs to go viral. It will piss you off.

It looks like Cruz has bedded with the DC Cartel. Cruz's unelected Colorado Delegate, Kendall Unruh, wants to unbind all delegates at the convention to allow allow them to vote their conscience at the convention so another leader can squeak in.

Actually, Ryan himself said in May he would step down if asked by Trump:

So this guy walks into a bar and tells the bartender: “Hey you know I’m a democrat but I make pretend I’m a Republican” So the bartender says “Paul Ryan, nice to meet you!”

How about the end of the nation? Perhaps the backstabbing puppetmaster globalist elite realize that Sanders voters are quite likely to stay at home or vote for Trump. Their days are numbered, across the political spectrum if it's hillary vs Trump.

It's never been more clear that there are two political parties....US and THEM.

Oh, you can only go up from Ryan. Here is the interview I was referring to with Boehner:

http://www.businessinsider.com/john-boehner-trump-presidency-2016-5

Boehner may not have publicly disagreed with and criticized Trump to the extent of Ryan, though.

Trump should strip him of chair of the convention.

I would love to see Ryan get primaried to oblivion. That said, Trump has zero say as to who chairs the convention. His majority of delegates have 100% of the authority to pick the chair of their choice.

It would make for great TV if Ryan was named the temporary chair to get the ball rolling, then get fired, then get replaced by Sarah Palin.

A leader among Trumps delegates could orchestrate that.

Where have you been? Ryan’s been undermining Trump since he (initially) refused to endorse him and accused Trump of racism for objecting to an anti-American/Mexican citizen LaRaza judge.

Here’s a thread that might help you understand:

Wow, that’s a not so subtle message to Cruz delegates given to Trump.

Ryan really hates the voice of voters, it seems. What an elitist turncoat.
