Donald Trump went there. The presumptive Republican nominee brought up allegations that former President Bill Clinton committed rape in an interview with Sean Hannity - but why?
Anyone who lived through the 1990s remembers that whenever Republicans bring up Clinton's sex life, it is usually the Republicans who lose. And Bill isn't the candidate this time around. His wife is.
That's why so much controversy surrounded Trump's decision to lob this bombshell.

The Republicans were at least 10 votes shy of the number of Republican Senators needed to remove him (67 to remove from office). The bottom line was that once Clinton had the country behind him, he was staying in office...it was up to the Democrats to provide the needed votes to meet the supermajority, and they were not about to do that.
IMO, I think every tie Hillary brings up sexism against Trump, Trump will right back to Hillary being an enabler.
If a private Company CEO, aged 50, used his position of power to get a blow job from a 21 year old intern he would be in jail for 15-20 years, and every lefty feminazi in the country would have been burning their bras until said CEO was sent to prison.

It’s been quite a few years. The younger generations are not dominated by Clintonmania. They won’t think of him a lovable rogue. And they have no particular love for HilLIARy.
I think it’s worse. Hillary is a wreck. Physically illl and loaded on Heaven knows how many drugs and is an alcoholic. Bill is in the beginning stages of dementia from all the drugs and alcohol and (we aren’t supposed to believe in this any more) the spiritual damage as a result of a lifetime of criminal acts. What we are seeing is a cabal of staffers who will be the ones to run the country with Hillary only a figurehead being managed by pharmacopeia including hypnotics. A programmed robot so to speak.
Look at her. She obviously operates on a set script. She’s robotic. She had no spontaneity and only regurgitates responses that have been carefully vetted and memorized. She probably gets a pill and a refresher of what to say before every appearance.
Bill will be kept in a closet and trotted out when needed. He looks like shyt. Massive weight loss. Not too many years left in that guy.

Would any of the Republican candidates challenge Clinton on this issue? Trump’s fearlessness to engage in any question is one of the reasons why he won an they did not.

In old politics the media would help the Clintons turn Bill’s rape charges into third rail material for Republicans. Under new politics Trump turns the charges into third rail materiel for the Clintons and makes enablers of the media for trying to help them. The media currently “enjoys” a 6% trust ratio; by November that will be down to .06% after they burn the last of their credibility trying to cover up Bill’s rapes.
McCain’t wouldn’t have brought it up...Romney wouldn’t have brought it up and it’s almost a certainty Cruz wouldn’t bring it up.
