Donald Trump
(Excerpt) Read more at nypost.com ...
Trump is a man of his word and has just taken, "another solid step toward uniting the party against Hillary."
Plus also it will help the conservatives make the transition to supporting the Donald.
Mark Levin sort of liked the list {he was actually impressed with it}, BUT {getting his Trump digs in} wondered whether Trump would flip-flop on getting elected.
Did anyone have the stomach to listen to Levin yesterday? I imagine he was in anti-Trump overdrive when talking about this list.
Of course, if Cruz had drawn up the same names, mark would be praising Cruz and kissing his a*s up and down.
Great list—This give a look into what a Trump Presidency will be like. This shows Trump will be a true leader.
Haven’t seen all the “candidates” pictures, but I did hear some whining on TV (CNN?) that they were all white. Sigh ...
It’s great Trump is acting like a leader already - basically saying, “F U Obama. It’s my SCOTUS choice now.”
Go further and fire every ivy leaguer in govt. Especially purge State of Yalies.
This list is why I was glad to hear some months ago that Trump was taking advice from Jeff Sessions. While that came out in regard to immigration I was sure that Sessions wouldn’t let his ear access go to waste.
The flip-flop fear is so irrational as to be a symptom of mental illness.
Trump doesn’t need the trouble of running for president. He has more money than Bruce Wayne. What possible purpose would it serve for him to be some sort of crypto-socialist? It would have been easier for him to have bought a candidate. Yeah he is going to wreck his brand name, his business reputation and spend millions of his own money as a joke?
I want some of what Levin is smoking. Actually, I don’t, it seems like it wrecks your mind
Waiting here for the usual (CCs) conservative constitutionalists to show their true colors. I predict they will claim:
A. He stole the list from Ted, or Ted mentioned them first.
B. It’s a ruse to fake out the true conservatives because the “real list” is full of East-coast liberal-tranny-gun-grabbing-baby-killing swine.
Trump’s laid out a handful of aces.
But more significantly, he’s forced Hillary’s hand-——she’d like to keep her selections secret....but that strategy is now kaput.
“Give ‘em up, Hillary. Your liberal S/C picks will hammer more nails in your liberal coffin.”
We all love JRB but she’s 67 years old now.
‘White’ is becoming a minority. CNN should be praising an attempt to bring balance back to the SC.
Again this shows that Trump is several steps ahead of her in terms of strategy. It also effectively stymies Obama whose Garland nomination is now just twisting in the wind while the focus is shifting to the Fall campaign and the next administration. SCOTUS will do just fine with 8 members until after January. Their latest unanimous slap-down of another Obama overreach shows that even without Scalia the court is still an independent branch of government.
Beyond this, Trump continues to control the narrative, which is something Hillary has no idea how to deal with. The "slow squeeze" continues and at some point she's going to crack in spectacular fashion. The Dems sense this, which is why the increasing levels of anxiety in the party about their deeply flawed presumptive nominee. Just as the Republicans before them, the Democrats are now working their way through the stages of grief leading to acceptance of Trump as the next POTUS.
Lots of great points:
He unites the ‘concerned conservatives’ - solids the base.
He takes away the power to succeed to appoint from BHO.
He forces his opponent to counter with a list of candidates.
++++ Great summation. Another take on what ‘just happened’ and more insightful than the actual article in many ways.
The Trump list of potential SCOTUS justice appointments.
