I don’t know who helped him find Willett...but...whoever did, knows deeply what they are doing.
I would wager that there is not a more serious, more persuasive conservative jurist in the country.

Just for the record Saul Goodman aka Jimmy McGill earned his law degree from the University of American Samoa

Tom Parker of Alabama would have been and excellent pick. Can’t get much more conservative than that.

How in the world does Cruz get injected into this discussion?

At this point, what we have seen out of the Harvard Lawyers that occupy the supreme court is that they are liars.
One John Roberts comes to mind, as do David Souter and Antony Kennedy.
Further, we have another Harvard Law graduate in the White Hut, and the “grifters” who are Yale Law graduates.
Loretta Lynch, Eric Holder (Columbia) Jamie Gorelick ....etc.
Do I need to go any further?

Cruz was injected into the discussion because he quite possibly would have been on this list of SC nominees had he not burned his bridges.

Here is the Trump statement, which includes a brief bio.
Lee of Utah is the brother of Cruz supporter and Trump skeptic Senator Mike Lee.
That ought to shut him up.

FOX mentioned that many of them clerked.for our most conservative SC justices. So someone may have asked for their opinion. Good move

I love watching Trump make moves like this. He’s in a class all by himself. Amazing.

Trump’s list makes it clear that he is rejecting any Harvard trained lawyers. Hence Cruz is a no-go.
Note that by rejecting the Ivy League schools such as Harvard, Trump is making an implied statement that how things are done in Washington is about to change. The “insiders” are no long at the front of the line.
Trump is more interest in WHAT you do, than WHO you (and your connections) are.

No Janice Rogers Brown?
Disappointing to say the least, but at 67 years old, maybe he's looking for younger appointees. Wish all his picks were as conservative as she is.

I agree. Also cool that out of 3 so far posted, 2 clerked for Clarence Thomas and 1 for Scalia.
To: TontoKowalski
Btw, when all is settled in exposing the malignant history of Obamaism, someone will remember that in addition to the media never “vetting” him, they also failed to report that his two SCOTUS picks were radical power dykes
