Why Is Ben Rhodes Apologizing For Insulting The Press?
Investor's Business Daily ^ | 5/10/2016 | John Merline

Over the weekend, top White House aide Ben Rhodes issued something of a mea culpa to the mainstream press for calling them know-nothings and depicting them as little more than propaganda amplifiers.

It’s not clear why Rhodes felt the need to apologize, since reporters weren’t complaining all that much.

Why apologize? He’s correct, they really don’t know anything. That’s how he....knowing nothing about foreign policy....was able to fake them out so much.

Ben Rhodes played right into the Trump characterization of the press. It’s a little late for an apology.

What I don’t get is why he ever opened his mouth in the first place. He helped Obama push this through, eliminating pressure on the mullahs. Now he brags about it?

He is doing the same thing his master Obama is doing in their final year; waving his wanker at us stupid, ignorant crackers.

He’s of the “sharing” Twitter generation, people who feel compelled to broadcast their specialness to the world

Obviously, he's full of himself here, but he is working at cross-purposes to the Obama legacy narrative.

I think Eric Bowling was on to something yesterday. Suggested that this was an intentional thing for an express purpose...perhaps to rattle the nest so that the hornets will be more agressive to Trump, Hillary or both.

I think he’s right. Obama is a lot of things, but he’s not stupid. If there is an evil outcome to be had, then he is probably behind it.

The problem with apologizing after having told people how smart you were to fool the information gatekeepers, is that it shows how stupid you were to have to brag about it. So apologies now just confirm your stupidity Ben Rhodes, to think you can even begin to walk yourself backwards out of it. They will now relentlessly trash you at every opportunity.

How you got the position with no real background experience, doesn't surprise anyone really, but one wonders how you will fare from now on. I hope you are as good a fiction writer as you boasted, otherwise, I see a bleak future for you.

They have about as much right to complain as a woman after being dumped by a married man.

Wait and see how smart they will become when Trump is President. They will go from high school dropouts to Rhodes Scholars.

Trailerpark Badass :" He’s of the “sharing” Twitter generation, people who feel compelled to broadcast their specialness to the world."

Ben Rhoads and Barry Soetoro are both narcisissts
When discussing Rhoads , all refer to the relationship between Ben and Barry as a "mind-meld" ,
meaning an uncanny ability to think and act alike.

Could be. Watch for the traditional kabuki dance this year where the press goes wall to wall 24x7 coverage for the Dem convention then publishes hand wringing editorials saying "did we go too far?" and then compensate by not covering the GOP at all. Then publish puff pieces about the dem nominee and write hand wringing editorials saying "are we being tough enough?" and then scorching the GOP candidate to prove they are. Same every election.
