Renaissance Technologies, a hedge fund founded by billionaire James Simons, donated over $13 million to Sen. Ted Cruzs failed presidential campaign. For a guy whos supposed to be pretty smart with his money, the ROI on that one has got to sting. Nevertheless, now that Mr. Cruz is out of the race, Mr. Simons has begun pouring millions of dollars into Hillary Clintons campaign, with Renaissance Technologies donating over $2 million to Ms. Clinton so far this election cycle. Euclidean Capitalalso owned by Mr. Simonshas given the Clinton campaign over $7 million in contributions, and such figures are likely to increase as Ms. Clinton slowly transitions her attention from Democratic Primary opponent Bernie Sanders to the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, Donald Trump.

Uniparty is as uniparty does.
Not surprising the big money people for cruz and bush move on to Hillary.
Yes, I’m a person that grows tired of the same idiots asking the same questions or making the same comments, who still can’t grasp the issues after they have discussed them for almost a year.
Sure I question your intelligence.
If I told you a red light meant top for ten months, and you were still confused, I’d do the same thing.
If this forum is over your head, leave.
We expect some effort.
The mask is off. The Empire strikes back.
LOL - you have been trying to stick your head in the sand for the last 10 months and resorting to ad hominem attacks in order to deflect any real cogent analysis.
Your “its just business” mantra is a fail.
That said, I’m still voting for Trump over Hitlary. To me it is an absolute no brainer and I cannot see how anyone could shift money from Cruz to Drooling Evil. However, I have friends who will not be voting. They tell me that the Trump supporters have been so rabid and nasty that they will just stay home.
Stop being such assholes. Might pick up more votes that way.
Aww, you poor thing.
You’ve been called on your idiocy, so the person doing so has to be wrong.
Can you think of one reason Trump gave donations to the Senator from his state?
Just name one.
Speaking of effort, why don’t you expend some and read some of my comments. You will see that, when merited, I have also defended Trump against some untruths. People like you disgust me; try looking at the whole picture before you spout off.
Blather to someone who doesn’t have you pegged for exactly what you are.
Trump bought Hillary Clinton, Harry Reid, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign, Al Sharpton, etc...
I can think of MANY reasons why businessmen donate to BOTH parties; same as Trump donating to both parties, same as this article.
The billionaire is a Jew. What a shock.
The Simons guy is NUTZ.
When Cruz is out, his biggest donors run to the Hildabeast. Very telling....
I’ll tell you what I’ve been telling folks like you for the last ten months, not that it will matter to you. You’ll be right back mouthing the same trash within hours.
1. Trump has 22,500 employees that count on him to keep things moving
2. Hillary Clinton was his Senator.
3. Trump has national and international interests and from time to time he may need his Senator to intervene in a legal manner on his behalf either nationally or internationally.
4. If both your Senators are Democrats, what are you supposed to do, just let your mulit-billion dollar enterprise die on the vine?
5. Please provide anything Trump received for his money that was unsavory or illegal.’
We are killing the long term credibility and membership of this forum with nasty attacks on one another.
She made a very valid point about Trump’s long time support of liberal democrats.
She did Not deserve being called stupid.
Questioning authority’s actions and associations has much virtue.
Let’s face it.
Trump is now our least worst choice for president, or so we’re led to believe.
He is not now, nor has he ever been characterized as a “Conservative”.
He’s talking a good right-of-center game at present.
However, his long time ideological history and associations (Clinton.buddies & Ross Perot NY Reform party head) hardly guarantee we’ll get a long needed change in course to the right.
All we can do is support the Right causes.

I didn’t say anything about Cruz, did I? No one seems to want to discuss that Trump has done the same thing. It’s a business decision. I didn’t even say it was a bad thing, did I? But y’all sure are acting like it is a bad thing for one person to do, but not someone else. Isn’t that the interesting thing!
Nah, I’m sorry but folks can only get by with being stupid for so long.
The Cruz folks have gone mental.
They can get with the program or leave.
You have got to calm down. I never once said it was a bad thng, did I? It was a business decision, just like the person the article is about. It is the SAME thing, and intellectually dishonest to say it isn’t.
he’ll probably get more for his money from the Hill=ster, dontcha think?
