The left-leaning Huffington Post published an article which seems concerned that Donald Trump could defeat Hillary Clinton in a general election contest due to his strong position on trade.

In a Friday piece entitled, “Hillary Must Toughen Up On Trade In Case She Is Nominee Against Trump,” Dave Johnson, a fellow at Campaign for America’s Future, writes:

If Hillary Clinton is going to be the Democratic nominee she had better get tough on trade – and mean it. One of Donald Trump’ main elements of appeal to his voters – if not the main appeal – is his stance on trade and bringing jobs back to America. It is a winning message and Clinton is waaaayyyy behind the curve on this.

I would think Hillary would want to move decisively to quash this kind of story, offering statements or interviews in which she tells of her high degree of confidence, explains why Donald Trump - a mere commoner, regardless of his wealth - will not stand a chance against her in the general election, pokes fun at Trump to show how vulnerable he is.

That's what she would do, if she had any actual legitimate leadership skills.

Cruz gave TPA to the 0bama admin! And, after initially supporting TPP, Ted Cruz now claims to have changed his position.

How conservative is that?

Cruz was also incorrect when he implied that TPA is separate from TPP. TPA (Trade Promotion Authority) was the “fast-track” bill that gave up Congress’s right to amend or filibuster TPP and which reduced the number of votes required to pass TPP from two thirds of the Senate to a simple majority in each chamber.

So this "constitutional conservative" is OK with bypassing the deliberative role of the Senate and helped engineer a situation where TPP could be passed with a simple majority vote, instead of the 2/3 majority typically required for a Treaty.

How conservative is that?
