Ted Cruz: ‘I Have Zero Interest Whatsoever’ in Being Donald Trump’s VP Pick
Breitbart ^ | 4/19/16 | Michelle Moons

A Donald Trump-Sen. Ted Cruz unity ticket seems less likely now that Cruz told the Good Morning America audience on Monday that he has “zero interest, whatsoever” in being Trump’s pick for vice-president.

Bonnie Pointer, who was described as an undecided voter from Vacaville, California, asked Cruz via video, “Would you accept being Donald Trump’s Vice President?”

Cruz thanked Bonnie for her question saying, “Let me just answer very simply, I have zero interest, whatsoever, in doing it.”

As if Donald J. Trump would have the slightest thought of having Ted Cruz as VP, LOL

And as a politician he will say that all the way until the nomination is decided. That is just what they do.

What else would he be expected to say at this point? And no snarky answers.

Can we all agree that both men would rather gnaw their hands off then shake and make up? There is zero chance of Cruz and Trump ever being on a ticket together.

If either of these two get the nomination they are going to have a huge trouble uniting the party and winning in November.

Theyre like two kids who need to be separated by an adult and forced to go sit in their own corners

He has more interest in not being kicked out of the Senate since he is not even an American. His dirty little secret? His mother gave up her American citizenship in England.

Somebody must have told Ted that Kasich is Trump’s choice.

He has to say that now. He’s still trying to win.

Turning down a VP slot would be a reasonable move for Trump who is 70 years old I think.

But for Cruz it’s a bad decision since he’s only about 44. I think it would be a bad move for Kasich since he’s about 63.

I’m guessing he’d do it ‘for America’, if he has clearly lost and the offer is made. Either that, or he has very bad decision making skills.

Agree. The hard core Cruz supporters may disagree, but the fault in this relationship failure lies predominantly with Cruz.

Think of a football analogy. The defense you are facing is strong and dug in. You need a bruising fullback to wear them down. That’s Trump. Let Trump pound the defense for 4 or 8 years.

Then you swap the Trump fullback for the Cruz tailback, who exploits the weakened defense for big gains.

You don’t put in the tailback first as he’s not beefy enough to deal with a fresh defense (which the Uniparty is right now). Trump is the person best able to defeat the GOP and Dem establishment, along with their MSM collaborators.

Also Trump is 69, Cruz 45. Cruz could easily wait 8 years, gain experience and stature as VP, and still be a super-young 54.

Cruz has a maturity and patience problem. Me Me Me Now Now Now is what probably has put a permanent crimp in his political future, which is a shame - and was totally avoidable.
