The story of the political season is Bernie, his minions will not take losing to Hillary lightly

Trump is a pretty big story too :)

I don't pay to much attention to the Rat race, but Bernie is ripping Hillary a new one. If the Rat primary wasn't rigged for Hillary I think Bernie would win. And I agree Bernies' supporters are going to be very unhappy that Bernie was robbed. A lot of them will not show up for Hillary.

Maybe the Donald will pick someone better.

>> There is zero chance of Cruz and Trump ever being on a ticket together.

Yes, ideologically they are very different. Ted Cruz is a conservative.

I’m not even sure Texas would elect him for another term....so I bet he doesn’t even run again.

Right.

They’ll never pull the lever for the (R), but they *will* find something they’d rather do on election day.

I agree...Sessions or Lee....Sessions more likely.

Who would Cruz pick...and would they even take it?

I think Trump might pull off a surprise NE win in one of the states. Especially when he starts hammering Clinton.

I didn’t know that Christie was that unpopular. I like Walker more anyway.

I cannot see Trump resigning for any reason. If you accept the idea that he is successful because he is not a quitter, and that he is actually quite a smart guy who considers his moves very carefully, then this is obvious. If, however, you simply view him as being a guy with a big ego, then quitting would be a huge blow to his ego, his standing in his family, and his place in history. Whether he would run for a second term or not is another matter, but there is simply no way that Donald Trump will ever quit a high-profile job like this. That is simply not in his character. I think that you have completely misread the man.

I like Walker for the same reasons. I was surprised that he flamed out as quick as he did. I am glad that Trump is 1st.

Four voters for Cruz this morning in NYC.

One of the poll workers tried to dirty trick me and say that the location was for democrats only! I quickly went back to the poll ( after having visited an alternate polling location) and voted.

That’s good, Ted—because I seriously doubt Trump will ask.

Trump is 69, Cruz 45. Cruz could easily wait 8 years,

My guess is that he'd only have to wait four years, as I think that Trump would lose interest in the office after the first term.

By far the best thing Trump could do to enhance his presidency is to appoint Cruz to the Supreme Court. A lot of people are considering this, and even Cruz suggested that Utah Senator Mike Lee should be appointed to the SCOTUS.

And the next president may very well appoint two justices almost immediately. Ruth Bader Ginsberg is hanging on with her fingernails, desperate to survive until Obama is out of office.

If Trump appointed Cruz first, it might be easier, sold to Mitch McConnell as a way to get Cruz out of the senate. It would also set the stage for a Mike Lee appointment, because the ground rules would be stiffened up.

In the true next in line promotion by the GOP, Cruz would be wise to take the VP with the old guy.

I agree with Jim Rob...

*****************************************************

by Jim Robinson

I was told yesterday that Trump is a liberal Democrat.

My reply:

Build the wall.
Enforce the law.
Deport them all.
End sanctuary cities.
End anchor babies.
Slap a moratorium on muslim immigration.
Cut the taxes.
Cut the spending.
Cut the regulations.
Cut the government.
Cut the debt.
Cut the EPA.
Repeal ObamaCare.
Get the feds out and allow health insurance to be sold over state lines.
Send education back to states.
Get a handle on trade.
Make trade deals in our own best interests.
Bring back capital.
Bring back manufacturing.
Bring back jobs.
Strengthen the economy.
Defend the second amendment.
Defend religious freedom.
Appoint constitutional conservative judges.
Rebuild our military.
Bomb the shit out of ISIS (and take their oil).

End political correctness.
Take the GOP head-on.
Take the media head-on.
Take the liberals head-on.
And win, baby, win.

All of the above on a shoestring budget compared to most of the 16 competitors he’s defeated (after they spent 100’s of millions of donor bucks).

No PACs.
No big donors.
No party support.

What’s democrat about any of the above?
What’s not conservative?
What’s not to like?

And I’ll add a few more:

Redo the horrid Iran deal.
Take a serious look at NATO.
Require our allies to pay more for their defense.

Rebuild the Reagan Coalition and attract blue collar workers by making America first again on manufacturing, trade, secure borders, economy and jobs, jobs, jobs!

Make America Great Again!

Would Trump and Cruz unite the party? I don't think so.

Trump has to find someone who is in sync with his US-first agenda and can work with Republicans in DC.
