Galileo was jailed for heresy when he spoke against the theory that the Earth was the center of the universe. Thankfully, the Catholic Church no longer calls for imprisoning scientists or politicians who question popular opinion only some Social Justice Warriors still demand jailing heretics.
The Committee for a Constructive Tomorrow (CFACT) posted a video to YouTube on Thursday with Bill Nye The Science Guy, discussing whether climate deniers and energy CEOs should be jailed like war criminals.
Well see what happens, was it appropriate to jail the guys at Enron? Nye asked. Was it appropriate to jail people from the cigarette industry who insisted that this addictive product was not addictive?
For me, as a taxpayer and voter, the introduction of this extreme doubt about climate change is affecting my quality of life as a public citizen, he continued. So I can see where people are very concerned about this and are pursuing criminal investigations as well as in engaging in discussions like this.
Apparently science is not a field for challenging accepted thought, but rather one that encourages indoctrination and jailing of all those who dissent.

Climate change is Nye’s religion. Only the most religious zealots call for jailing or killing heretics.
Jail for climate deniers? I suppose ... and we should probably execute their families. You know: just to be on the safe side.
Bill Nye - the fascist guy.
Not sure, but isn’t he the one that’s not a real scientist? Not that there’s anything wrong with that.
ML/NJ
aren’t they embarrassed about the dire predictions that haven’t even come close to being true?
why don’t republicans read the list off every time they hear this nonsense.
How about we jail anyone who suggest we jail anyone for the mere infraction of stating their opinion no matter how crazy anyone thinks it is...
How long would this pantywaist last in jail?
Ping.
The same argument for jailing “climate deniers” could be made for jailing people who disagree about vaccines, anti-biotics, inertia, etc....
So if someone wants to believe that the earth is flat, I guess we jail their crazy ass too...
If someone thinks the sky is blue because of something other than the light absorptive properties of the atmosphere, JAIL them too.
Maybe we should just go ahead and shoot anyone that doesn’t get a A+ on their state approved science test....
Better know Ohms law before flicking that light switch, other wise Bill Nye the Technical Degree guy is gonna be your warden in federal pound you in the rear end prison....
Doing just a quick google search shows that no tobacco executives were jailed. They were considering perjury charges but it never went anywhere. Is Bill Nye the Fascist Guy not telling the truth?
The more we show them it’s a hoax, the more they want us silenced. “Flak...over the target...etc”
Mister Nye completely abandons the scientific method (perhaps he never learned it.)
Global warming is based on climate models, which are low confidence as they have so many variables and they are beclouded with so much uncertainty associated with input assumptions.
That's it. Outputs of highly uncertain models qualify as an observation to MISTER Nye.
Another little thing.
If someone had dire warnings based on vague modeling, would it not be prudent to invite opposing views, and work to learn just why you might be in error?
.
The more we show them its a hoax, the more they want us silenced. Flak...over the target...etc
Yup.
And what’s upsetting them even more is the fact that more and more of the public is becoming skeptical over the wild claims made by the likes of Bill Nye and Al Gore.
Arent we supposed to be all dead now according to Gore?
The quality of his life is being impacted, huh
I think we all died some time last year....
Bill Nye is a disgrace. No scientist worth the title calls for suppression of dissenting ideas to a theory - least of all by resorting to legal measures. What a joke this guy is.
I, and many others with REAL STEM degrees, will debate this marshmallow lightweight anywhere, anytime.
He will lose his pink panties.
